Seduced the Doomed Villain (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 4
It was ominous.
Walking on the gloomy, damp stone floor, I desperately tried to hide the cold sweat gathered in my palms.
‘♬~♩~♪’
The music box melody that had been playing since earlier now seemed to foreshadow something about to burst out at any moment.
“I’ll protect you! Don’t worry, older sister!”
“Alright, I’ll trust only you.”
Diana smiled faintly at the child, whose head barely reached her waist, and ruffled his hair.
“Noel, could you light a flame for me?”
The interior of the castle was impossibly vast. Hundreds of rooms and corridors twisted confusingly, linking space to space.
The light Noel conjured barely reached the other end of the corridor—it illuminated only the area around her.
With every step forward, it felt as though she was stepping into the gaping maw of a beast.
On top of that, traps and hidden magical wards were placed everywhere, making it a labyrinth unlike any other.
“Grrrrr.”
‘♬~♩~♪—’
Snap. The faintly echoing music box sound abruptly stopped, and from within the fog now obscuring her vision came the growl of a beast.
Diana’s body instantly froze. Through the foggy darkness, her eyes locked with something glinting in the shadows.
She quickly rolled her eyes to confirm Noel’s position.
From within the white mist, the beast’s snarling muzzle finally emerged.
“Noel!”
Just as Diana tightly grabbed Noel’s hand to run, a magic circle formed beneath their feet.
Of all things, they’d stepped onto a teleportation circle. Or perhaps, given the circumstances, it was actually good fortune.
There was no telling where the indiscriminate magic might drop them.
Right before the beast’s terrifying fangs could reach them, they were transported to another space.
[This is the timeline separator]Noel clung tightly to Diana’s sleeve. When the glow subsided, they found themselves inside a massive underground cavern.
“Noel, are you alright?”
Ignoring the cold sweat trickling down her back, Diana knelt down, gripped Noel’s shoulders, and met his eyes.
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
Her relief lasted only a moment—another magic circle rose from the darkness of the huge cavern, and from it roared a beast.
The enraged creature was a werewolf.
“S-sister!”
Noel stepped in front of Diana. Flames bloomed above his small hands.
“Grrrrr!”
The werewolf, drool dripping from its fearsome fangs, glared directly at them—clearly recognizing them as prey. Diana frowned at the chaotic situation.
First ghosts, now monsters. Just what kind of messed-up place was this castle?!
She quickly scanned her surroundings, ready to grab Noel and bolt at the first sign of an escape route.
“Noel!”
—until the child suddenly dashed far ahead.
“What are you doing! No!”
Driven solely by the desire to protect Diana, Noel charged straight toward the werewolf.
The flames the child hurled seemed to have no effect on the furious beast—it only enraged it further, causing it to rampage wildly.
Dodging the werewolf’s attacks with agile rolls, Noel gritted his teeth.
He had to protect Diana. His mind held only that single thought.
“Haah… haah…”
Restricted by a binding on his body, he couldn’t unleash high-level magic.
Just as Noel, drenched in sweat, pushed his magic to its limit—
a magic circle formed beneath his feet and shone brightly.
“Ah… Sister.”
In that split second, Noel turned to look at Diana.
She, reaching her physical limit, was raising the hand axe she carried at her waist to rescue him.

With a pout on his face, Noel vanished completely.
The instant Noel disappeared, a blinding flash of light filled the cavern.
BOOM! Before their eyes could adjust to the overwhelming radiance, an explosion rang out.
The werewolf was flung far away by some unknown force.
“…….”
It was a man. Standing where Noel had vanished, the man emanated a dangerous, lethal aura.
The werewolf, having regained its senses, swiftly lunged at him—but its claws, harder than steel, never reached the man.
The man deliberately inflicted non-lethal wounds on the beast, taunting it.
With each wound, the coppery scent of blood grew thicker in the air.
Though covered in injuries, the werewolf snorted defiantly and burned with fighting spirit—but the man merely tilted his head slightly, as if measuring something.
His eyes narrowed.
Having grown tired of toying with it, the man felled the werewolf with a single, decisive strike.
Diana, who had been staring at the man in a daze, felt her pink irises waver.
Clunk—she dropped the emergency hand axe she’d been carrying onto the ground.
As if entranced, Diana walked toward the man.
The man, more savage than any monster, turned his gaze to seek his next prey.
He had found his target.
His piercing, icy eyes locked onto Diana. A blue gleam in them threatened to tear her apart at any moment. He aimed his sword at her as she approached.
Ignoring the blade entirely, Diana squeezed out her last reserves of strength and leapt toward him.
She spread her trembling hands and wrapped them around the man’s neck.
In that brief instant, the man could have easily swung his sword—but he didn’t move.
He stood frozen, as still as a statue.
“Haaah…”
She’d gone mad. Absolutely mad. That was Diana’s first and only thought.
She didn’t know where this man had come from, but ever since he appeared, her heart had been pounding irregularly.
Diana saw it—the deep crimson magic power coursing through his entire body.
It was an intensely concentrated magic power—so immense that any ordinary person would have gone insane from it.
‘It’d be nice if there were someone truly cursed like that.’
As if answering Noel’s words, a man bearing an utterly dreadful curse now stood right before her eyes. How could she not be delighted?
Instinct overrode reason. She embraced this complete stranger as if he were the love of her thousand-year life.
Clutching his neck, Diana greedily absorbed the magic power contained within his curse.
All fatigue vanished from her body instantly. When had she last felt this revitalized?
A refreshing sensation spread through every corner of her veins, making her feel as if her body were melting with pleasure. She never wanted to let go of this man.
“…….”
“…….”
Rodric looked down at the woman’s head that had suddenly intruded into his crimson-tinted field of vision.
Where her touch met him, the chaotic madness that had settled within him began fading.
What in the world was going on? As his breathing calmed, he tried to assess the situation.
“Hey.”
The woman gave no reply. A silence stretched between them.
“Move aside.”
Even with his voice dripping with coldness, Diana didn’t budge.
She remained clinging to him, oblivious to her own disgraceful behavior, rubbing her face against his thick neck—until he grabbed her by the throat and pulled her off.
Though he practically threw her down, Diana managed to regain her balance and stand upright immediately—an ability made possible now that her basic stamina had returned.
She quickly wiped away the saliva threatening to drip from the corner of her mouth and looked up at him with hazy eyes.
The moment she parted from Rodric, Diana blinked a few times—then suddenly snapped back to her senses.
Her face flushed instantly with heat. Ugh, what an embarrassing spectacle!
“I’m so sorry!”
The man, tilting his head indifferently, used the tip of his sharpened blade to lift Diana’s chin.
Looking down at that menacing sword, Diana’s pink irises trembled slightly.

“Um… couldn’t you just ask with words?”
His languid eyes, which had been assessing her, narrowed further.
“What are you?”
“If you put that away, I’ll tell you.”
Rodric didn’t lower his sword. Though she understood his caution, Diana let out a sigh.
“My apologies. I am Diana Beatus, the second daughter of Duke Beatus.”
Ordinary people would have trembled in fear at the oppressive aura he radiated, yet her demeanor remained calm.
She tilted her chin up even higher, challengingly—as if inviting him to test her if he dared.
After a long, tense standoff, Rodric finally sheathed his sword.
“Why is the youngest of the Beatus family here?”
“You know me?”
“As much as others do.”
“Then, who are you, sir?”
Nodding briefly at his curt answer, Diana took a proper look at him.
She had addressed him as “sir” because he wore a military uniform.
The wolf emblem engraved on his scabbard belonged to the Northern Knights.
“I didn’t get an answer, my lady. I asked why you’re here.”
“That’s what I’d like to know. I woke up trapped inside this castle. Let me ask you in return—who are you?”
Despite his icy attitude, Diana openly scrutinized him from head to toe.
He had broad shoulders and a balanced, well-trained frame—the typical appearance of a knight.
Yet, unlike an ordinary knight, he carried an aura unique to those born to rule.
Beneath his jet-black hair, tinged with blue, his blue eyes still faintly flickered with subdued madness.
“Rodric Schwarz.”
Rodric stated only his name—nothing more—and looked at his own hand with a tsk, clicking his tongue before tossing away his black leather glove.
From inside his coat, he pulled out a new pair of black gloves and put them on.
Watching his graceful movements, Diana froze.
Schwarz?! That Rodric Schwarz?!
Just who was Rodric Schwarz?
In the novel, he was Felice Schwarz—the secondary male lead’s—only elder brother.
Duke Felice was openly in opposition to the Crown Prince.
And the reason was the madness-induced deaths of his father and elder brother—both caused by a curse.
The Imperial Family had, for generations, excelled in wielding magic power.
Only they possessed magical strength rivaling that of ancient mages. Casting a curse would be child’s play for them.
Felice believed the Imperial Family—controlling the North’s lifeline—was responsible for his family’s deaths.
In the original story, Rodric Schwarz appeared only briefly in Felice’s flashbacks before vanishing entirely.
Felice, mourning his lost brother, found comfort—and eventually love—in the heroine, despite her belonging to the opposing faction.
And thus, he too walked the path of a villain.
In short, this man before her was also on borrowed time—just like her. Moreover, he was a doomed villain slated to disappear even before the main story began.
Why a villain? Because his reputation for cruelty was infamous—not only on battlefields, but even across foreign nations, surpassing even that of tyrants.
He was said to have gone mad from the curse and died on the battlefield. That detail, however, came not from the novel itself, but from stories Diana had heard in her past life before reincarnating.
Though she’d spent most of her days in bed, her gossipy handmaid ensured she received news from across the realm faster than anyone else.
Was your end as painful as mine?
“Your gaze is impure.”
Hmm, lost in empathetic thoughts about Rodric—and that’s what he says.
What a prickly man. Diana, mimicking Rodric, once again scanned him from head to toe—not his appearance this time, but the curse and magic power flowing through his body.
A man carrying a curse several times stronger than that of a cursed doll.
Yep. Approved.
With this man, she could surely cure her illness in no time.
Now, how best to stay close to him? Lover? Spouse? For the sake of her life, she’d cling to him by any means necessary.
And on top of it all—his strikingly handsome looks made it hard to believe he was a doomed villain.

“This gaze of mine—what’s wrong with it?”
She stepped closer, so close that when he lowered his head, his breath brushed dizzily against her skin.
“You’re looking at me with pity—as if I’m some tragic figure. Am I wrong?”
Oh my, he’s perceptive. Her pink-tinted eyes softened into gentle curves. Would it be too weird to say even his breath felt refreshing?
“No, you hit the mark exactly.”
Tragic indeed. Your curse could save my life—why did you only appear now?
Rodric’s face remained expressionless, but the emotion clouding his blue eyes was unmistakable.
Clear, unambiguous displeasure.
