It had been six years since Eun Seo left.

The village of Solnae that the couple visited hadn’t changed much. The bus stop where she used to wait for rides and the small shop in front of it remained exactly as they were.

The village hall where Tae Ha had rescued her from Jo Sung Tae still stood firmly in its place.

However, the stream where she used to play whenever her heart felt troubled as a child had grown so shallow that its bed was now fully visible, and the old, cozy house where she once lived had been neatly repaired and was now occupied by someone else.

The narrow farm path she used to run down to escape her grandmother’s beatings had widened enough to comfortably fit a car with room to spare.

[Tae Ha, I want to visit Solnae Village once.]

Tae Ha readily nodded. Until now, Eun Seo had only returned to Solnae Village on the anniversary of her grandmother’s death—and even then, she only visited the mountain where her grandmother’s remains had been scattered.

Tae Ha didn’t like Eun Seo’s grandmother—or whoever that woman truly was to Eun Seo.

He couldn’t forgive her.

Still, as Eun Seo had said, at least the woman had set everything right just before her death, so he would offer her only that much in mourning.

At Eun Seo’s words, Tae Ha sent their son to Chairman Kwon and set off on the journey.

On the way, Eun Seo said that whenever she had time, she wanted to visit not only Solnae Village but every place where she had lived even briefly as a child.

She said it would be joyful to revisit those childhood villages with Tae Ha whenever memories of them came to mind.

“Let’s go anytime. An ‘Lee Eun Seo Themed Tour’—sounds fun.”

The two visited several villagers one by one, including the village chief and the Women’s Association President, who had shown her kindness.
