Secret Cohabitation Love (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
Knock, knock.
A knock came with a slight delay.
Eun Seo opened her eyes on the enormous bed, which seemed impossible to roll off no matter how many times she turned. To be precise, she merely blinked—her eyelids barely parting.
Though the room was incredibly spacious, it was perfectly warm and maintained a comfortable humidity, but Eun Seo’s mind was the exact opposite.
She cycled rapidly through anger, fear, sadness, and cold clarity—her heart contained every season imaginable in this moment.
Even ten more minutes of sleep felt like a luxury. Thus, this knock was almost a relief.
Eun Seo tightly secured her robe and opened the door. It wasn’t Tae Ha—it was a middle-aged woman.
“Did you sleep well?”
“Who…?”
Unlike the startled Eun Seo, the woman smiled gently and spoke.
“I work here. Sorry—I must have startled you.”
“Hello.”
Eun Seo bowed her head slightly in greeting.
“Your meal is ready. Team Leader Choi is waiting for you now.”
Team Leader Choi…
[Team Leader Choi contacted us. He said you were hurt.]Eun Seo recalled what the nurse had told her last night and vaguely guessed the identity of this “Team Leader Choi.”
“He’ll wait. Come out when you’re ready.”
The middle-aged woman seemed prepared to escort her as well.
Hearing that Team Leader Choi was waiting for her to eat, and seeing this elderly woman still standing patiently at the door, Eun Seo closed it again without a second thought.
But then, catching sight of herself, she opened the door once more. Her clothes from yesterday hadn’t dried yet—she was still in her robe.
She couldn’t possibly eat like this.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t have any clothes. I came in such a rush yesterday that I didn’t bring anything, and the clothes I washed still haven’t dried. I think it’d be best if Team Leader Choi went ahead and ate first.”
“Clothes are prepared in the dressing room. They’re provided for guests’ convenience, so you’re welcome to wear anything you like.”
“Oh—the dressing room. Thank you. But it’ll still take me a while to freshen up. I didn’t want you to feel uncomfortable waiting here indefinitely, so I thought I’d mention it.”
“Will ten minutes be enough?”
Eun Seo tentatively concluded that perhaps Tae Ha had given orders—maybe worried she’d try to run away.
“I’ll come out even sooner.”
After closing the door, Eun Seo headed straight to the bathroom. After brushing her teeth and washing her face, she put on her still-damp undergarments from yesterday and entered the dressing room.
[You’ll find spare clothes in the dressing room.]Apparently, Tae Ha’s words from last night hadn’t referred only to the row of robes hanging in one corner.
Just as the woman said, clothing was abundant—no, excessive. Clothes for all four seasons were stocked by gender and size.
Seeing more clothes here than in her own wardrobe, Eun Seo couldn’t help but let out a hollow laugh.
So many clothes just for guests? What an entirely different world.
She picked out a loose brown dress with a subtle fragrance and pulled it over her head.
Though surely made of far finer fabric than anything she owned, every point of contact with her skin felt irritatingly rough.
After finally getting dressed, Eun Seo tied her hair up in a single ponytail and opened the door. The woman was still smiling, now leading the way ahead of her.
“He said I should escort you—you probably wouldn’t find the dining room on your own.”
Not ‘afraid she’d run away,’ but ‘afraid she wouldn’t find it.’
Maybe that was true.
Only after stepping into the sun-drenched living room did she understand: centered around a hall that looked more like a grand plaza than a living space—utterly different from the night before—were numerous corridors and doors.
She never would’ve found the dining room before Team Leader Choi finished eating, had she gone alone.
Tall, wide white doors with wainscoting swung open on both sides. It felt almost like entering the gates of hell, and Eun Seo gulped. Still, she held her head high.
She hadn’t done anything wrong. She was innocent.
Yet she couldn’t understand why she kept shrinking inwardly.
As soon as she entered the room, Woo Young turned his head from the window, his hands tucked in his pockets. His naturally tousled bangs rippled softly.
“Did you sleep well?”
His greeting was so easygoing and cheerful—as if they’d known each other a long time—that it instantly undermined all the resolve she’d gathered before opening the door. Her frozen body relaxed slightly.
“Please, have a seat.”
“Thank you for last night.”

Recognizing him immediately, Eun Seo offered a greeting. She hadn’t forgotten, even briefly, the face of the man who’d draped his jacket over her.
“Tae Ha isn’t here, so I guess it’ll just be the two of us for breakfast. I hope that’s alright.”
She would’ve been uncomfortable regardless of who she ate with, but having Tae Ha present would’ve made it even worse.
Interpreting Eun Seo’s faint smile as agreement, Woo Young pulled out a chair for her and gestured.
After Eun Seo sat down, Woo Young took his seat across from her.
“Eat plenty.”
There was white rice mixed with black soybeans, barley tea, and about eight side dishes—but despite his encouragement, eating much felt impossible.
Not because the food lacked flavor, but because she had no appetite. Her mind was overflowing with too many thoughts.
She had 300 won to her name and nothing she could sell. Though it wasn’t her first time living in Seoul—and thus not frightening—she had nowhere to go the moment she stepped out of this house.
She had no relatives she could even call by name, no close friends from school—her student days had been split between part-time jobs and studies—and naturally, no siblings.
“By the way, you left your phone behind, right? I’ll give it back later.”
Only then did she realize she didn’t have her phone. Had she really been that overwhelmed?
“We stored your luggage in the warehouse for now. Couldn’t go through someone else’s things, and didn’t know what was what, so I didn’t bring anything. Just tell me if there’s anything urgent—you need, and I’ll bring it.”
“Everything.”
“Everything? …Why?”
“Because I’ll be leaving soon.”
It wasn’t even a significant remark, yet Woo Young set down his spoon, covered his mouth, and laughed. After a couple of fake coughs, he still couldn’t suppress his smile as he replied.
“If you’re leaving, take me with you.”
“Why?”
“Because around here, getting out without Tae Ha’s permission is harder than dying. I’d like to tag along with someone bold enough to try.”
Ah. Right—Kwon Tae Ha.
Though clearly a frightening statement—and one that reminded her sharply of her situation—it was the first time in a long while that Eun Seo laughed.
She’d only meant to smile, but forgot her circumstances entirely and burst out laughing at Woo Young’s playful expression.

“Team Leader Choi is having a meal with a guest.”
Madam Ahn cheerfully informed Tae Ha as she greeted him at the front door.
“I prepared barley tea as you instructed, sir. Even if she can’t eat much, it’ll be filling.”
“Thank you, Madam Ahn.”
As Tae Ha removed his shoes, he noticed an out-of-place item on the entryway floor—a pair of low-heeled black boots.
The cheap material was chipped in places, dark mud clung in dried patches as if they’d trudged through a mudflat, and the heel was worn down by more than a centimeter.
An item that clearly revealed its owner.
Frowning unconsciously at the wretched state of the shoes—mirroring their owner’s circumstances—Tae Ha quickly set his shoes aside and slipped into slippers.
When he opened the dining room door, he heard a woman’s laughter.
He pictured its owner. Had that icy glint in her eyes softened by half?
That desperate gaze that couldn’t even mask her ragged appearance,
like a cornered mouse, ready to bite at anything.
The door creaked open—and both pairs of eyes immediately turned toward Tae Ha. Their expressions froze instantly, making Tae Ha feel as unwelcome as an intruder.
He was the master of this house—why should he receive such treatment? Perhaps that thought alone soured his mood.
“Is the food to your liking?”
Though he spoke politely, Tae Ha clicked his tongue quietly as he passed behind Eun Seo, noticing her rice was barely touched.
“I’ve finished eating.”
Her polite words and stiff expression seemed oddly formal—as if someone else entirely had been laughing just moments before.
“And your sleep?”
“That… I slept well. The room was nice and warm.”
“Your eyes are red.”
A brief silence fell, then Eun Seo finally spoke.
“To be honest, I couldn’t sleep.”
She moistened her lips once and met Tae Ha’s eyes as he sat down by pulling out a chair.
He looked as flawless as yesterday—striped navy tie, neatly pomaded hair, and a calm baritone voice brimming with composure.
Of course—he’d always lived like this. At the very top, a blessed apex predator who feared no one.

“You’re being honest now.”
“I figured I couldn’t fool you anyway.”
“Then why keep trying to lie when you’re not even good at it?”
“I was trying to show respect for your consideration. Even while suspecting me of being a fraud, you still prepared a good bed and a good meal. But then I realized—if I said I slept and ate well, you’d probably feel resentful. So pretending I did would actually be disrespectful. That’s why.”
“That wasn’t my intention.”
“If it wasn’t your intention…”
“Your lip.”
Tae Ha lightly brushed his own lower lip with his index finger, then pointed quickly at Eun Seo’s.
“I wondered if that guy hit you. Your eyes are red too, so I thought that’s why you couldn’t sleep. I even considered whether you needed another treatment. Of course, I dislike lies.”
Caught off guard by his unexpected response, Eun Seo stared, almost hypnotized, at Tae Ha’s fingers rubbing the corners of his eyes.
Had she misunderstood his consideration again and jumped to conclusions?
“You must find me very uncomfortable. Don’t feel wronged—I’m supposed to be suspicious of you, Song Eun Seo.”
“My clothes still haven’t dried.”
Not understanding why she’d said that, Tae Ha raised an eyebrow slightly.
“I washed my clothes yesterday, but they didn’t dry in time, so I just grabbed something from the dressing room. As soon as my clothes are dry, I’ll change back into them and leave right away.”
“Where to?”
“To the police, to a lawyer—anywhere. And I’ll look for a place to stay, and also…”
“And?”
“I’ll look for a job too. I’m not planning to run away. I know perfectly well I’m still in the palm of your hand. As soon as I find a place, I’ll move out today.”
“Don’t rush. Stay here a few days and look for a place slowly.”
“I already told you—I won’t run away.”
Though her voice was low and quiet, it carried determination rather than resignation. There was a stubborn pride in it—‘Don’t misunderstand me. Don’t treat me as if I’d do something shameful.’
“With nowhere to go starting today, that kind of pride seems like a luxury.”
“I’ve never lived luxuriously. Being in a position where even pride is a luxury, I’d like to indulge in such luxuries once in a while—but this world always forces me to give up before I even try. It’s not pride. It’s shame and guilt—that’s why I’m saying this.”
Eun Seo lowered her gaze to the man’s long fingers tapping lightly on the dining table.
If she’d come here under normal circumstances, she would’ve gratefully and happily accepted every kindness. But due to their uneasy relationship, his kindness felt like an ill-fitting garment—
a garment she wanted to remove as soon as possible.
Tae Ha’s fingers stopped tapping on the table. His loosely clenched fist slowly brushed his chin.
“It’s just my curiosity. I’m terribly curious about you.”
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
