At his uncle’s words, Tae Ha smiled and shot back,

“Uncle, it’s been ages since I’ve seen your face anywhere but on TV. Are you working hard on those bills?”

“Of course. Do you think someone eating the nation’s rice can afford to laze around?”

The banquet hall, bathed in the glow of chandeliers, buzzed warmly with family chatter, reunited after a long time.

“Tae Ha, I saw your hotel promotion the other day—looked great. I’m thinking of booking the Royal Suite next week.”

“It’s fully booked. You should’ve told me earlier for things like that.”

“Ugh, you really have no tact whatsoever.”

His second cousin, seated ahead, glanced playfully at Tae Ha and laughed.

“I heard Jung Woo’s transferring to the hotel too. Can you handle that for him?”

“What can I do if the CEO says no? Sorry.”

“By the way, is your company doing that rights issue? I mean, Mira Biotech—running low on funds?”

“We are, but I haven’t been paying much attention lately. That’s actually my mother’s area.”

Jung Woo smiled and glanced toward his mother, but she remained stubbornly indifferent, seemingly offended.

“Wait, is today’s gathering both a New Year’s party and Tae Ha’s inauguration celebration?”
