She understood. Even what’s visible is something he doesn’t want to see.
Having tainted the name of the beautiful actress Kan and now in this situation, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of self-disgust.
She was brought here because she had no choice, but it must still be annoying.
In his eyes, she’s always a scammer. Even when she reluctantly went to listen to his piano performance on that topic.
The unfortunate thing is that he himself is no different.
At the end of such thoughts, as Eunseo was about to close the door, he, who had disappeared, reappeared in the corridor.
“I mean not to disturb the working people. You can eat, take a walk, whatever. And.”
After taking a shallow breath, Taeha spoke to Eunseo.
“These days, I heard you use aroma candles when you take a bath, so if you want to burn candles too, go ahead.”
Taeha’s gaze was fixed on the table. There were pears and apples, soju, grapes, and candles. It seemed he noticed them, which were brought out in case the fruit got damaged.
A combination of items that anyone performing a ritual would be familiar with.

He finished speaking and disappeared. A lingering scent filled the vacant space.
“Everything’s done, guest.”
Reflected in the mirror, Haeun was beautiful. A hairstyle that highlighted the advantages of rich brown curls and light makeup that looked natural.
With simple earrings, it gave off a sophisticated impression without being too much.
“Oh! How can you be so pretty? You’re the prettiest person I’ve ever seen.”
“I heard idols and actors come here.”
“Oh my, it’s not a lie. You’re really prettier. Maybe it’s because you resemble your mother, so elegant. Look at your skin, your skin. You hear a lot that you have good skin, right? It’s like a baby’s skin.”
The employee was laying it on excessively. It might not have been once or twice for such flattery, but the employee overlooked something.
Should she say they’re not mother and daughter? If she does, her face will turn red.
Haeun found the employee’s attitude amusing.

“Here, it seems the color of your cheeks is a bit pale. Would you like me to add some vitality? I prefer a lively image.”
The employee carefully observed Haeun’s cheeks and picked up a brush.
“It seems like you’ve had a good day today. Are you on a blind date?”
“Not that.”
As Haeun finished speaking, she raised the corners of her mouth.
GK Seoul Hotel.
Although it was considered the top dating spot for middle-class people because of its view of the flowing Han River, Haeun didn’t notice the Han River.
Even when she did her hair, she didn’t shake like this.
Finally, it was the day she would meet the sponsor who had generously supported her and the fiancé. Mr. Jang said he didn’t tell her in advance because he hoped Haeun would be truly surprised.
The sponsor asked not to reveal his identity, and Mr. Jang said that if Haeun knew in advance, it would be disappointing.

Mr. Jang was such a thorough person.
Early in the morning, Haeun took a bath with scented water and received a massage from Mr. Jang, trimmed her nails neatly to a color similar to her skin tone, and then went to a shop in Cheongdam-dong for two hours to groom her hair and makeup. She wore clothes she had prepared in advance.
A black knit dress with tightly embedded luxury logos and a camel coat emphasizing the waist.
“[Absolutely don’t ruin the meeting. The sponsor is still hesitating. Show well. Because the first impression is appearance and voice, it’s good to show neatness to the sponsor and appeal sexiness to the marriage partner.]”
There was a purpose to the clothes.
[Let’s go with this.] The clothes chosen at H Store were a knit material dress. Mr. Jang’s plan was for the tight-fitting knit dress to emphasize the chest. Thick pads were also placed inside the bra. [He’s not an easy opponent. Don’t let your guard down just because he’s polite. He’s a picky and challenging person. No one knows what style he likes. Even so, the opponent is a man. Try to appeal as feminine as possible. Don’t wear cheap-looking clothes. Don’t laugh too casually.]“Haeun, wear the coat. The chairman won’t be staying long today due to the meeting schedule. And when the chairman leaves, and it’s just you and the young master, casually say it’s a bit warm and naturally take off your coat. You have to do it elegantly. Slowly, gracefully.”
“What is the young master? It’s not the Joseon Dynasty. Can you stop saying that?”
With a ‘tsk’ sound, Mrs. Jang glanced at her.
“The hierarchy is always the same. Like water flows up and down regardless of the era, there’s always an upper class and a lower class. So I’m trying to lift you up. To the very top of the food chain. I call you the young master, but I’ll let you call me by my name.”
“Okay, Mom.”
Haeun answered obediently, but sometimes she couldn’t understand Mrs. Jang. Anyway, Haeun was not Mrs. Jang’s biological daughter.
If the purpose of becoming a family through the marriage of Haeun and the ‘young master’ was to call the ‘young master’ by the title of ‘husband,’ Haeun couldn’t understand why Mrs. Jang did such things for her.
It wasn’t a mother-daughter relationship that had lived affectionately while cooking and eating together.
Isn’t the time spent living apart 99 percent more than the time spent living together?
Thud, the sound of grabbing the door handle was heard, and the door opened.
“The chairman has arrived.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
