“Did Taekyung senior really find you? How?”
“We just bumped into each other by chance. And now he comes to our kindergarten every week to teach.”
“Hey! You should have told me about this earlier! Sigh.”
“A lot has been going on. Minjun is sick and currently hospitalized.”
“What? Why is Minjun sick?”
Unlike Seoha, who spoke calmly, Hyunjae was overwhelmed by the shocking news.
Hyunjae felt useless, unable to help Seoha who was right beside her.
“It happened at the swimming pool. He slipped and got a concussion. It’s not serious, but he keeps saying his head hurts.”
“Does Taekyung senior know?”
“Yes. He came to the hospital with us.”

Hyunjae rested her hand on her forehead, worried and overwhelmed.
How should she handle this? What if Taekyung has already figured things out?
Hyunjae’s mind was a whirl of thoughts.
She felt it would be better for Seoha and the adorable Minjun to avoid getting entangled with Taekyung. Hyunjae, having witnessed the cruelty of HY Group and Seoha’s biological mother, Seungae, firsthand, knew how malicious they could be.
With a voice heavy with concern, Hyunjae asked,
“Does Minjun know Taekyung senior is his father?”
“No. I denied it. He thinks Minjun is some other man’s child.”
Relief mixed with sorrow at Seoha’s response. Hyunjae knew how much Taekyung had cared for Seoha.
She had also heard from Jung Hoo about how broken Taekyung had been.
But for Hyunjae, Seoha was more precious. That’s why she never told Seoha about Taekyung’s struggles and despair.

For fear that Seoha might return to him.
“That’s how it is. But I feel bad. She might get married to someone else, leaving her own child behind. If he knew, he’d be so shocked.”
Seoha didn’t say anything.
Sighing, Hyunjae continued,
“Anyway, I got it. I’ll strictly deny knowing anything to Taekyung senior. Your mother hasn’t come looking for you, has she?”
“Not yet.”
“That’s good. I was worried what if Taekyung senior found you and then your mother too.”
Hyunjae breathed a sigh of relief. She promised to call again when she got home.
“I’ll call you when I get home. Take good care of Minjun.”
“Okay. I’ll wait for your call.”

After hearing Seoha’s goodbye, Hyunjae put her phone back in her bag. She checked her makeup and adjusted her clothes before leaving the restroom.
Soon after, the last cubicle door in the restroom opened, and Yuna came out.
Yuna’s beautiful face contorted into an ugly scowl.
Taekyung’s expression was characteristically languid. It was Hyunjae who was nervously licking her dry lips.
She couldn’t understand why she had to tremble like this, being faultless, but feeling nervous was instinctive.
She felt like a rabbit in front of a predator.
Hyunjae, thinking she should take the initiative, spoke first.
“What do you want to know?”
Taekyung didn’t answer but kept his eyes fixed on Hyunjae.
Hyunjae felt a chill run down her spine. It felt like she would be devoured at any moment.

“Is it about Seoha?”
Unable to wait for Taekyung, Hyunjae asked again.
Finally, Taekyung took a sip of his coffee and slowly opened his mouth.
“The reason Seoha disappeared 5 years ago. You know, don’t you?”
As expected.
While Hyunjae felt a bit relieved that her guess was right, she couldn’t relax.
Taekyung was not an easy person to deal with. One wrong move, and she might end up spilling everything about Seoha.
“I don’t know. How could I? We haven’t been in touch. Didn’t you say you met her?”
“You haven’t been in touch?”
“Where is Seoha now? She doesn’t even contact me. She’s not even a friend, really.”
Hyunjae swallowed nervously, trying to joke around. She concocted a lie that seemed natural enough, but it wasn’t enough to deceive Taekyung. He hung a sardonic smile at the corner of his lips.

“It’s all over your face. Don’t lie.”
“Lie? What do you mean?”
Hyunjae’s heart pounded so hard her ears nearly rang. Unintentionally, her voice rose before she clamped her mouth shut again.
“Five years ago, did Seoha meet the chairman?”
“…”
“You know I can be quite persistent. Plus, I have plenty of time today.”
Hyunjae sighed.
Taekyung seemed to have come prepared today. Unlike him, leisurely sipping his coffee, Hyunjae’s legs trembled.
Taekyung looked at her and smirked.
“To anyone else, it would seem like I’m about to devour you. Relax and talk comfortably.”

‘As if you’re not about to devour me?’
Hyunjae discreetly rolled her eyes towards Taekyung.
She cautiously started to speak.
“I heard that’s not true. To my knowledge, she never met the chairman.”
‘Just don’t mention Minjun.’
She knew pretending otherwise with Taekyung was pointless.
Better to give him just enough information and escape.
Now that he’s even met Seoha, what could she do to stop him?
Taekyung raised an eyebrow, seemingly surprised.
“Then?”

“I don’t know the details. Seoha said she was avoiding her mom.”
“Her mom?”
“Yes. You know, her biological mom isn’t really motherly.”
Hyunjae frowned, looking distressed. She sighed as if she was releasing a year’s worth of sighs in one day.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
