Unaware of the fantasies the maids held about him or the conversations they were having, Daniel gazed out the window with an indifferent expression.

“I’m so bored I could die.”

The riding accident he caused had angered the Emperor.

Forcing himself onto a notoriously ill-tempered horse in a crowded place had been reckless; he nearly suffered serious injury, and someone else had even gotten hurt trying to save him.
