Save Me (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
At Jeremy’s words, one of Izhar’s eyebrows arched slightly.
The expression vanished from his face in an instant.
“Sorry you couldn’t kill her…?”
The crisp, rhythmic tapping of Izhar’s thick, straight fingers against the armrest—tap, tap—was painfully distinct.
“It sounds as though she committed a crime that absolutely deserves death, doesn’t it?”
His tone was languid, yet Izhar was clearly urging him to continue.
At the very least, he’d successfully captured his interest.
Jeremy spoke in a noticeably softer voice.
“As Crown Prince of a nation, it’s truly no easy task to recount my homeland’s shameful secrets.”
“Yet you must explain them to me.”
“Yes, that would indeed be only proper.”
Jeremy politely drew out the end of his sentence.
Izhar’s demeanor remained cold.
But Jeremy knew.
The moment he’d apologized for failing to kill Bianca, a faint trace of contempt had flickered in Izhar’s gaze.
Izhar, the young Emperor of Cartan, was as fastidious and exacting in temperament as he was refined in appearance.
Even now, he wore a Cartan-style formal robe as white as fresh snow.
Travel between Termina and Cartan required crossing treacherous mountain ranges, yet Izhar looked as if he’d never set foot on such a path.
His robe was perfectly unwrinkled, as though freshly pressed, and his jet-black hair—combed back like polished ebony—wasn’t a strand out of place.
A man who pursued perfection to the extreme.
That was Izhar.
Jeremy knew why he desired Bianca.
She was the Empire’s greatest beauty.
Some mad fool had even dared compare Bianca to the Empire’s founding emperor himself.
The reincarnation of the First Emperor…?
That mongrel, who resembled the flawless goddess-like figure only in eye and hair color.
But what if someone heard that rumor without knowing the truth?
They’d find her utterly irresistible.
But what if that perfection were gone?
Feeling excitement boil within him, Jeremy lowered his gaze.
“You must know, Your Majesty—Empress Sabrina, who bore Bianca, was originally…”
“I know.”
“Given how difficult that marriage was, His Majesty the Emperor truly cherished Empress Sabrina, didn’t he?”
Izhar gave a slight nod of his chin, signaling him to go on.
Jeremy lifted the teacup before him and took a few sips.
Only after a long hesitation did he find his voice again.
“After that, Bianca was born.”
“And…?”
Having built such suspense only to deliver something so trivial, Izhar quickly lost interest.
The last trace of curiosity evaporated, leaving behind what sounded like irritation in his now icy tone.
Yet Jeremy smiled gently at Izhar’s reaction.
“After merely six months—quite healthily, I might add.”
Izhar’s angry expression hardened instantly.
“After six months?”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
Jeremy kept his eyes fixed firmly on his own feet, careful not to accidentally meet Izhar’s gaze.
“The child was born healthy, you say?”
No one on the continent was unaware that Emperor Ecliff of Termina, captivated by Sabrina Holshir’s beauty, had carried out a raid-marriage.
No one cared whether Baron Holshir had died long before or not.
All that mattered was that a widow—barely a year past her husband’s death and newly appointed head of House Holshir—had received the Emperor’s passionate courtship.
Trending
‘I have decided to become head of House Holshir, Your Majesty.’
‘Why not bestow your grace not upon Holshir, but upon Termina?’
Their tale spread across the continent through the mouths of bards.
Even the East, blocked by rugged mountain ranges, was no exception.
Izhar shot up from his seat.
“What do you mean by that?!”
Jeremy bowed his head deeply before the young Emperor’s furious shout.
“My father, as you know, does not place great importance on bloodline.”
As you can see from Empress Sabrina.
His quiet, pained addition was clearly deliberate.
“I understand His Majesty visited during my southern inspection tour last year. Had I been present…”
“No, no, wait—just a moment.”
Flushed with confusion, humiliation, and rage, Izhar stammered wildly.
He paced several frantic circles around the grandest solar of his palace, struggling to steady his ragged breath.
After what felt like an eternity,
he approached Jeremy with hurried steps and spoke again.
“Wait, wait… I—I understand now.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
“But there’s something I still don’t grasp. What connection is there between your failure to kill her and sending her to Duke Valroc?”
He’d taken the bait.
Jeremy smiled faintly.
This time, he made no effort to hide it.
Instead, he openly displayed a broad, pleased expression.
“Due to discord between my father and Valroc, the previous duke was executed.”
“I see.”
“But we couldn’t simply abandon that beast—we needed a sacrifice to soothe its grief.”
Izhar nodded silently.
Though the explanation was brief, his expression showed he understood everything.
“What Termina never anticipated was that the beast took Bianca alive.”
“But if she’s Imperial Princess Bianca… isn’t that understandable…?”
Izhar’s tone was oddly indifferent, as if he now understood Duke Valroc’s actions.
He must have recalled that Bianca was the Empire’s greatest beauty.
Jeremy gave a small, derisive snort.
What a fool.
To think someone as inhumanly exquisite as Valroc would be captivated by someone like Bianca.
Jeremy, who had maintained a perfectly neutral expression, suddenly gave a small nod.
Ah—had Izhar never even seen Valroc?
He decided to kindly enlighten him.
“Duke Valroc knows nothing of Bianca’s birth, Your Majesty.”
“…!”
“Didn’t I say it was Termina’s shame? Since His Majesty chose not to make an issue of it, the matter was quietly swept aside…”
Izhar quietly nodded toward Jeremy, who trailed off.
“Regardless, she is a princess of Termina—and killing imperial blood is treason.”
Even after spelling it out so plainly, he still didn’t understand.
Valroc took that mongrel alive believing her to be of imperial blood—why would he fear treason?
To Izhar, unaware of the legend, this assumption was natural—but Jeremy pitied him for his misconception.
Still, he didn’t bother to clarify.
It was tiresome—and besides, Izhar’s expression had already softened considerably, clearly finding the ensuing drama of the Termina royal family rather entertaining.
His faint smile was proof enough.
Jeremy bowed deeply and offered a respectful greeting.

“I sincerely apologize for the urgency of the situation, which left me no chance to give you any prior notice.”
“I understand that as well.”
The atmosphere had grown much gentler than at the start.
But this wasn’t the end.
“I believe we have more to discuss beyond this. What is the Crown Prince’s opinion?”
“Of course, Your Majesty. Termina is a land that honors righteousness.”
“Haha. Cartan is not unprincipled—there’s no need to be so tense.”
Izhar’s laughter was refreshingly clear.
His sky-blue eyes, with pupils so wide they appeared nearly black, were striking.
Yet even through those eyes, Bianca clutched her head without a single sound of pain—making Gillian feel as if his breath had caught in his throat.
Bianca’s eyes held no focus.
“My lady, lean on me.”
She looked in his direction as he spoke, yet he wasn’t truly in her line of sight.
Her expression seemed distant, as if gazing far beyond him at something unseen.
“Shh, it’s alright.”
Bianca had called it dizziness—but how could this possibly be mere dizziness?
Though bile rose in his throat, Gillian coaxed her gently in the kindest voice he could muster.
“It was a forced march. Of course you’re exhausted.”
“…”
“It’s alright. Just rest like this for a while.”
Her rigidly held body suddenly dissolved like morning mist.
In that instant, Gillian pulled her close, refusing to let go.
She was astonishingly light—unbelievable for a grown woman.
He wasn’t as shocked as the first time, but he doubted he’d ever get used to it.
Gillian let out a quiet sigh, carefully tucked the thick blanket around Bianca, and leaned her gently against the carriage seat.
“Dizziness…?”
His quiet murmur was deeply bitter.
When she’d entered the audience chamber alone, he’d realized she’d been abandoned by the Emperor.
He’d assumed that, while not lavish, her careful grooming meant she’d lived a reasonably princess-like life—contrary to rumors.
But the moment he’d lifted Bianca from the warp station, he’d felt as if the ground had dropped from beneath him.
She was far thinner than she appeared.
A waist so narrow it nearly slipped through his hands.
Her ribs seemed as if they’d shatter with the slightest pressure.
The shock of her weight—like a limp rag doll—was overwhelming.
Could a person truly become this frail?
He’d suspected serious health issues.
Taking someone like that on a forced march from the capital to the Northern Territory in less than a day—he’d expected her to collapse.
But he’d believed it better to return home and let her rest than to linger in this cold, and had steeled himself to endure the consequences.
He’d anticipated all of it.
Yet why did his heart sink so deeply now…?
Gillian lowered his gaze and gently adjusted Bianca in his arms.
Instead of asking for help, she’d curled into herself defensively—a gesture that felt unnervingly natural.
As if she’d never received help from anyone in her entire life.
‘His Majesty won’t come.’
Even in the moment she realized she’d been abandoned, Bianca had remained silent.
Because she’d accepted it.
Because she expected protection from no one.
Because she was utterly alone.
Gillian stared for a long while at Bianca, sleeping deeply without the slightest movement.
Her bluish pallor and faint, almost imperceptible breathing seemed ready to vanish at any moment.

Though they’d already reached the ducal manor, Gillian couldn’t bring himself to wake her.
He knew how sweet this rest must be for the exhausted Bianca.
How long had passed like this?
Suddenly, another face overlaid the sleeping Bianca’s.
‘Why did you do it?’
That day… when she wept, her face pale as death, breathing her last breath…
Gillian knew full well it was merely a memory of the past, yet a chill shot down his spine.
No, it’s not that.
He knew for certain it wasn’t—but still.
It felt as though Bianca’s breath, right there in his arms, was slowly fading away.
“My lady?”
He called out aloud, but Bianca’s closed eyes did not open.
Gillian was overcome with unbearable fear.
“Bianca!”
“…”
“My lady!”
The moment desperation crept into his voice, Bianca’s tightly shut eyelids trembled faintly.
It was the slightest movement.
Yet it was more than enough to save Gillian.
The tear-filled blue eyes, the lovely lips once tracing gentle curves—neither came to mind anymore.
“My lady.”
Gillian’s voice, as he called Bianca’s name, was impossibly tender.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
