At 11 a.m., Na Ri woke up on the sofa to the sound of a late alarm and looked around.

Still a youthful appearance. She was Shin Bit Na Ri, fifteen years old, not long after her mother had passed away and South Korea had just emerged from the nightmare of a Grade-1 Gate.

When Jung Su Ho had shaken her awake that morning, asking, “Aren’t you going to school?” and she hadn’t moved an inch, he’d eventually given up, leaving only with a brief, “Make sure to eat properly.”

She could just turn off the TV or internet and be done with it. Besides, she had things to do.
