“Hyung! I’m here!! I came early today!! I finished cleaning fast!”

Ten-year-old Min Jae Yun came dashing out through the school’s main gate as soon as elementary classes ended.

Since today was one of those days when sixth graders finished at the same time as him, he had hurried down the moment cleaning ended.

Standing right ahead of him, Kang I Hyeon looked up from his phone and stared at Min Jae Yun.

“You didn’t just do a sloppy job, did you?”

“Alright then, let’s go home.”

Though his gaze was cold, Min Jae Yun simply grinned happily. He was truly glad that I Hyeon had come to live at their house.

His grandfather was always busy; after school, he either did homework alone or was looked after by a babysitter.

Though his grandfather treated him nicely when he came home in the evenings, Min Jae Yun sometimes cried all night staring at photos of his parents—photos of people he couldn’t even remember clearly.

Having always needed to monitor his grandfather’s mood, young Min Jae Yun had grown unusually perceptive, yet couldn’t bring himself to say he lacked necessary school supplies.

That’s why he kept getting scolded by his homeroom teacher—but now, having an older brother attending the same school who actually cared for him made him incredibly happy.

Now there would always be someone at home, and someone to buy school supplies with him too.

Though Hyung I Hyeon was in sixth grade and normally finished later, Min Jae Yun could just wait in the school library reading or doing homework.

He could now talk about how delicious the tteokbokki place near school was, or chatter on about how math class was his favorite.
