“Ninety degrees—point it at ninety degrees! Oh dear, who holds a bow like that? I’ve taught you how many times, and why is it still the same? I just don’t get it.”

“Ugh, seriously? You’re ridiculously strict!”

“You begged me to teach you—even resorted to eardrum torture—and now you’re saying what?”

Inside an otherwise empty bar, Chris was correcting Na Ri’s posture. Na Ri, who had only been making pitiful squeaking noises until now, grumbled.

“Why does it sound like this? Isn’t the violin the one that’s broken?”

“What are you talking about? The violin’s fine—it’s your posture that’s the problem!”

Chris was now speaking entirely informally. Na Ri bit her lip, feeling a twinge of regret.

After hearing the man say he couldn’t empathize with her, Na Ri thought of her dad.
