“…Arrange for strict information control.”

“…Yes, Your Grace.”

Brock Drouin knew that that one word was by no means light.

It was well understood by Brock how difficult it was to rectify irreparable rumors, like picking up scattered feathers. But now, Brock’s only choice was one.

To control the knights so that no rumors about the lady spread.

With a stern expression, Brock left the reception room. It was an urgent matter. Once the door closed, the Grand Duke nodded slowly with a sluggish expression on his face.

Now, with an expression demanding a report, Winster presented the invitation he had brought.

“Summer banquet invitation.”
“How can you possibly involve yourself with the imperial family?”

“Well… It seems they’re inviting the Hesperian delegation to the summer banquet.”

“…Quite a clever move.”

Edwin muttered quietly, tossing the invitation onto the desk. Now looking at the invitation that had served its purpose, Howard shared the same thought.

Inviting the Hesperian delegation to the summer banquet.

It was after the Grand Duke firmly asserted in a noble meeting that he would consider ‘the agreement with Hesperia as his first official duty.’

Now, if they didn’t attend the banquet, it was clear that the imperial officials would exaggerate the Grand Duke’s absence.

“What will you do?”

“Have to go.”

Not only Howard but everyone in the reception room widened their eyes. Edwin, who answered willingly, burst into a hearty laugh.

“Why are you all so surprised?”

The chilly atmosphere in the reception room disappeared. Flustered, Winster stammered.

“W-well, we naturally thought you wouldn’t go to the system.”

“It’s my first official duty; of course, I have to go.”

“Since when did you care so much about official duties, Your Grace?”

Berni muttered in amazement. Edwin’s eyes softened at those words.

“Well, I thought the mineral taxes were a waste.”

Berni and Dian chuckled. Only Winster understood what Edwin meant.

Turning away from the curious faces, Edwin pointed at what Winster was holding preciously. It was the document envelope he had been holding since earlier.

“But, what’s this?”

“Oh, this is a letter for the lady.”

“For Olivia?”

“It’s a letter from Lady, along with the summer palace invitation.”

Winster’s mouth, which had been speaking smoothly, suddenly stuck as if his lips were glued together.

“What?”

The Grand Duke’s question dropped, but Winster didn’t say anything more. The cold atmosphere of the reception room was gone. Winster, who was bewildered, fumbled.

“Is that so? Is Lady really ‘Leaf Green’?”

“Quiet, Winster. The Grand Duke said it’s a secret. When did you hear it?”

Howard, who was embarrassed because he had learned the secret on his own, forgot about it quickly.

Winster, with a dignified expression, raised his head to Edwin and handed the document envelope to Berni.

“Berni. Please deliver it to Lady.”

Taking the document envelope, Berni looked at the Grand Duke with a slightly worried expression.

“I don’t know about the others, but what if Lady decides to attend the banquet?”

Berni wasn’t ready to send the lady off with this risky system. The princess who went to the summer palace hadn’t returned here.

But without an answer from the Grand Duke, Edwin chuckled. Only then did Berni realize that he had worried unnecessarily.

Edwin Lowell Vycander.
However, the Grand Duke just smirked without giving any response. It was then that Berni realized he had worried unnecessarily.

Edwin Lowell Vycander.

The Grand Duke in front of me was not someone who would let the same incident repeat itself, no matter what happened. Rather, it might be better to press the imperial family more strongly.

On a bright morning, Olivia walked down the corridor, her dress trailing behind her. Her usually graceful steps seemed to quicken, resembling the pace of a deer running. Berni, who was following, exclaimed in surprise, “Lady!”

Although Olivia’s wrist, which had received over a hundred pre-inspections to the point of being dizzy from alcohol, was sore, she couldn’t stop walking.

It was because of the letters she had seen just a while ago.

“A letter has arrived from the Marlene House. Winster brought it yesterday.”

A document envelope from the Marlene House. Inside were letters from Esella and Sally, along with an elegant invitation, and another document envelope.

What’s that?

Curiosity surged, but Olivia began reading Esella and Sally’s letters first. When she saw the familiar handwriting, a strange sense of joy overwhelmed her, and she couldn’t close her mouth.

Then, Olivia’s eyes widened at the sentence written at the end of Sally’s letter.

[Dash] “I’m glad I can send you the letter you’ve been waiting for so long.”

Olivia opened a small document envelope and checked the sender of the letter inside. Then, she swallowed her breath.

A letter from the ‘Unnamed Knight.’ And there were eight of them.

Overwhelmed with joy, Olivia, after reading one letter, impulsively stepped outside.

[Dash] “If it’s okay, I hope to see you on Wednesday afternoon at Rueheiren Street.”

Whether the unnamed knight was a knight of the imperial knight order or a knight of Vycander, Olivia couldn’t know. But just receiving the letter made her happy.

She wanted to share this joy with someone. The person who came to mind was none other than Edwin.

However, when Olivia found Edwin, she had to momentarily close her mouth at Edwin’s pouring words.

“I have to go to the capital. There’s an upcoming summer banquet, and the Hesperian delegation is also coming.”

Summer banquet. The moment Olivia heard the words, she recalled the unread invitation from the palace. Come to think of it, it was time for the usual summer banquet preparations.

“Olivia has also received an invitation. Of course, attending is Olivia’s choice. What do you want to do?”

A choice.

Olivia quietly pondered those words. Since receiving a year’s grace, Olivia hadn’t had a single thought of going to the capital in that year.

No one in the capital was worth seeing.

But.

“……I will.”

I should think first. I should consider the reality.
Along with the letter from the unnamed knight, when the thought of Edwin going to the capital alone filled Olivia’s mind, she unconsciously reached a conclusion.

“I will go too. To the capital.”

With a determined statement, Edwin smirked and nodded.

As if he had expected that.

In the royal garden of the Yellow Princess Palace, where the radiant roses had withered, and new summer flowers were blooming, a tea party under the pretext of ‘preparing for the Princess’s summer banquet’ was taking place. However, everyone sitting in front of the table was silently glancing at each other, making the tea party seem colorless.

It was the princess who broke the uncomfortable silence.

“……Lady. What did you just say?”

The reluctant princess looked at Esella Madelaine, who was seated to her right.

Esella widened her eyes and innocently replied, “What did I say?”

Well, yes. Even if the young lady is oblivious, there’s no way she would say something like that to me…

The princess, who had forced a smile, slightly distorted her face at Esella’s following words, feeling a faint sense of discomfort.

“Oh. Surely, you’re not bothered by my comment that the concept of this year’s banquet seems familiar, are you?”

For a moment, the princess’s eyes flickered fiercely. Esella chuckled casually.

Thanks to that, no one knew how much venom was lurking beneath the calm amethyst eyes that had settled under the faint indigo light.

When male lead is the homewrecker

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.

Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.

The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.

I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.

There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.

For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.

I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.

Here’s the story synopsis:

One-line summary: She is his lifelong obsession, to the point where he was willing to be a third wheel, scorned by society, just to wedge his way into her relationship with her fiancé.

Cold-hearted and indifferent female lead + Scheming and subservient CEO male lead

Intro 1:

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

With blood trickling from his clenched fist, Rong Xiu gazed at the woman before him, his eyes clouded with anguish. Hidden in the wardrobe, he had witnessed Fan Xia – the woman he desperately loved – in an intimate embrace with her fiancé. Yet his heart still yearned for her, defying all reason.

Fan Xia, the elegant and composed assistant, carried something mysterious in her eyes whenever she looked at her fiancé, Wen Lan Sheng. Strange occurrences began to surface – secret meetings with the young Gu Jin Yi, an unexplained withdrawal of 5,000 yuan… Then suddenly, her fiancé’s sister, Wen Jing, violently attacked her.

In this matriarchal society, Rong Xiu had risen to become the chairman of a powerful healthcare conglomerate, breaking through gender prejudices. But for the first time, he willingly stepped into the shadows as the other man, disregarding his friends’ warnings to become her secret lover.

Because he had discovered the truth – Fan Xia wasn’t the pure angel everyone believed her to be. And perhaps, he was the only one capable of helping her execute her mysterious plan…

Intro 2:

Rong Xiu’s biggest regret in life was missing out on Fan Xia.

He secretly loved Fan Xia for 7 years.

Watched her kiss her boyfriend at their wedding.

Until that man blissfully nestled in Fan Xia’s arms, obtaining everything he could only dream of.

The crazy jealousy stripped away his hidden secret love, layer by layer, burning like wildfire.

Fan Xia, how can I have you!
