Fortunately, it was reported that there were no people inside the collapsed annex yesterday.

Since there were no casualties, the construction to rebuild the collapsed annex started early this morning.

Oh, by the way, it was mentioned that the uprooted trees would be carefully trimmed and used as interior decorations.

…In truth, this measure was taken for the saddened gardener, as the uprooted roots were too damaged and couldn’t survive any longer.

I brought the silver snake and placed it on my knee, pointing outside.

“Look over there.”

[…….]

“If you hadn’t used divine power yesterday, would that tree still be alive?”

[…….]

“Even if you hadn’t suddenly increased your size, wouldn’t the annex have been fine?”

[…….]

“Huh? Are you listening to me?”

[……Fine, stop nagging!]

The silver snake, who spoke in a resentful tone, bounced off the floor. I heaved a deep sigh.

Last night, I emphasized over several hours that using divine power here was absolutely forbidden. However, I woke up to a loud noise in the morning and found them immediately starting the annex construction. Bringing the once-again playful silver snake, I scolded it once more.

[Next time, I won’t do that, I won’t!]

“You always say that, but you still use divine power so recklessly!”

[Oh, yesterday was really unavoidable!]

“Don’t make excuses! You just suddenly increased your size based on your mood, didn’t you?!”

[No, I didn’t! It was because of a microorganism I encountered yesterday, hup!]

The snake continued awkwardly, then awkwardly closed its mouth as if it had said something it shouldn’t have. It looked surprised, as if it had spoken words that should not have been said.

“You encountered a microorganism and your eyes met suddenly?”

[That’s right!]

“How did they recognize you? Even though you used invisibility?”

[I don’t know, suddenly our eyes met, and I was surprised too!]

The snake pounded the ground with its tail, looking unfairly wronged.

Now that I think about it, a few years ago, there was someone who recognized the invisible Suinso. ‘A snake!’ he shouted casually upon seeing Suinso in invisibility, the man who was called the ‘boss’ in the underground catacombs.

‘…Oh, no way.’

I couldn’t come up with an answer all day for the still undecided issue of the unnamed aide.

And the next morning, I had to temporarily set aside the issue because news arrived that the long-awaited response had arrived.

“It’s from the Kingdom of Valkandia, right?”

“Yes, that’s correct.”

‘Wow, finally!’

I silently cheered inside but made an effort to maintain an elegant expression on the outside.

Delma chuckled as she watched me like that.

“You’ve really become a remarkable young lady.”

“Of course.”
Now I’m also 9 years old. It has been a long time since Sophia and Delma started calling me “miss” instead of “little lady.”

I sat at the dressing table, leisurely reading the letter while entrusting my hair to them.

This letter was from Duke Oliver in the Kingdom of Valkandia.

Five years ago, I sent him my first letter as a young inventor through Duke Consta, the Grand Duke of Valkandia.

In brief, the content of that letter was expressing my desire to become friends.

However, contrary to my expectations, there was no reply no matter how much time passed.

At first, I worried if I had sent the letter wrong and pondered with frustration.

With no reply in sight, it became overwhelming to send another letter through Duke Consta, and I was at a loss.

It wasn’t until about three months later that a response arrived.

“You’re Clements’s younger sister!”

The rest of the content was about wanting to become very close friends.

‘Has Clements mentioned me?’

It didn’t seem like simple talk based on rumors of me being the Duke’s daughter. His tone felt like he already knew everything about me. A bit flustered, but since I had met his father, Duke Consta, I assumed he had heard about me from him, and I let it go.

From that moment on, I exchanged letters with Oliver through Clements. Most of the content was about inventions.

When I sent a letter last time, it went like this:

“…If you could contain magic on paper, it would be lighter and easier to carry.”

What I was hoping for was for Oliver to invent a teleportation scroll.

To make a teleportation scroll, first, we needed parchment that could contain magic.

Oliver’s reply at that time showed signs of excitement. He asked how I came up with such an idea and said he would start researching it right away.

He even went so far as to call it a very ingenious idea.

‘Actually, it’s not my idea.’

Until now, the common belief was that only magic stones could contain magic, so from Oliver’s perspective, it must have been quite surprising.

Making parchment that could contain magic was not difficult. In fact, it already existed in the world.

‘I bet he made it quickly.’

If a scroll that could contain magic had been developed this time, it would be easy to develop a teleportation scroll as well.

‘Surely, the contents will indicate success?!’

When male lead is the homewrecker

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.

Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.

The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.

I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.

There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.

For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.

I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.

Here’s the story synopsis:

One-line summary: She is his lifelong obsession, to the point where he was willing to be a third wheel, scorned by society, just to wedge his way into her relationship with her fiancé.

Cold-hearted and indifferent female lead + Scheming and subservient CEO male lead

Intro 1:

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

With blood trickling from his clenched fist, Rong Xiu gazed at the woman before him, his eyes clouded with anguish. Hidden in the wardrobe, he had witnessed Fan Xia – the woman he desperately loved – in an intimate embrace with her fiancé. Yet his heart still yearned for her, defying all reason.

Fan Xia, the elegant and composed assistant, carried something mysterious in her eyes whenever she looked at her fiancé, Wen Lan Sheng. Strange occurrences began to surface – secret meetings with the young Gu Jin Yi, an unexplained withdrawal of 5,000 yuan… Then suddenly, her fiancé’s sister, Wen Jing, violently attacked her.

In this matriarchal society, Rong Xiu had risen to become the chairman of a powerful healthcare conglomerate, breaking through gender prejudices. But for the first time, he willingly stepped into the shadows as the other man, disregarding his friends’ warnings to become her secret lover.

Because he had discovered the truth – Fan Xia wasn’t the pure angel everyone believed her to be. And perhaps, he was the only one capable of helping her execute her mysterious plan…

Intro 2:

Rong Xiu’s biggest regret in life was missing out on Fan Xia.

He secretly loved Fan Xia for 7 years.

Watched her go public with her boyfriend.

Watched her kiss her boyfriend at their wedding.

Until that man blissfully nestled in Fan Xia’s arms, obtaining everything he could only dream of.

The crazy jealousy stripped away his hidden secret love, layer by layer, burning like wildfire.

Fan Xia, how can I have you!
