Looking at what was in the hands of Dayban, who was dressed in his clothes, it seemed that they mistook him for Dayban and gave the gift.

“It was a coincidence earlier.”

“That’s not it.”

Dayban lowered his head. He looked a little confused but also like he had discovered something interesting.

“They told me to tell you, it’s hard to meet.”

Then Dayban tossed it right in front of him.

“We’re different, you know.”

Dayban’s eyes sparkled as he spoke. It was the unique expression he wore when he found something interesting.

Once so desperate to distinguish themselves, now seemed to be intrigued.

Upon this, Michael rolled his eyes.

“They asked me right away why I suddenly changed clothes.”

“…….”

“He said he was four years old. Well, for a kid, he communicates well.”

“…….”

The attitude of talking about the child changed as they recognized themselves. Michael took a short sigh.

Regardless, Dayban chuckled and continued talking.

“Isn’t it really funny? They think we’ll look favorably at them just for giving these little snacks.”

‘It seems like you’re favorably impressed.’

After giving a gift to Dayban, something strange was added to my daily life.

“Who am I?”

“Dayban?”

“……Heh.”

Dayban picked up the book that had been upside down on his lap and returned to his room.

‘He’ll come out and ask again later?’

Since the time I gave squid as a gift to Dayban, he would come out two or three times a day to ask who he was.

At first, I didn’t know why, but thinking about it now, he must have found it fascinating that I recognized him.

‘Well, they really do look alike.’

Their appearances were the same, their heights were the same, and their voices were the same.
If Mikael wore Daeban’s clothes and Daeban wore Mikael’s, even the Duke and Clements would have a hard time telling them apart.

‘I’d probably be a bit confused myself.’

Nonetheless, the tension had waned, and I got along well after the twins arrived.

‘I haven’t seen Mikael since the first day, though.’

One would think I’d bump into him at least once.

Then, not long after, I realized I had to be careful even with my thoughts.

Today, as usual, I left the garden with a backpack, only to find Mikael had already claimed a spot in the cool shade under a sunlit tree.

‘Has my thought sprouted into reality…’

It was too late to turn back, yet too close to pass by pretending not to notice.

Reluctantly, I gave a subtle wave of my hand.

“Mikael, hello.”

Focused solely on his book, Mikael lifted his head. With an indifferent tone, he mumbled.

“It’s really you.”

He promptly returned his gaze to his book. Taking his reaction positively, I felt a bit relieved.

‘Mikael has always been more composed than Daeban.’

Managing both twins was the responsibility of the Duke and Clements. But especially for unpredictable Daeban, that fell on Mikael.

‘Should I try to make a good impression on Mikael?’

I had initially wanted to leave as soon as I saw Mikael, but now I didn’t feel like it.

Well, it’s a stretch to say he actually acknowledged my greeting.

‘At least he’s not overtly hostile.’

“Mind if I sit here?”

I asked cautiously. Mikael shot me a quick glance before looking away. I took this as a silent affirmation and laid out my picnic mat a short distance away from him. I spent some time coloring.

Peeking at Mikael now and then was a bonus.

‘What is he reading anyway?’

The title was ‘Efficiency of Magic.’ A cursory glance at the cover suggested it was about managing magic efficiently.

Why would Mikael need to manage magic efficiently?

The twins’ magic was like an endlessly bubbling well.

There was no need to worry about efficiently using water when you have a well that never runs dry.

‘Is he reading it just because he likes books?’

Mikael felt my gaze and lifted his head.

“Is the book interesting?”

“You can read?”

I nodded without a word. Annoyed, Mikael closed his book with a slap.

“Hey, kiddo!”

From afar, Daeban shouted my name.

“So that’s where you were hiding!”

Contrary to his snarky tone, Daeban rushed over with an excited face. Only then did he notice Mikael and narrowed his eyes.

“Ah, crap! You were here?”

Annoyed, Daeban burst out. Mikael looked incredulous.

‘Come to think of it…’

My eyes shifted to the clothes Daeban was wearing. Black suit pants, a dark vest, and a lightcolored shirt. His entire style had changed.

‘He’s dressed similarly to Mikael.’

Mikael, who had also noticed, grimaced.

“Isn’t that my outfit?”

“Yes, it is.”

“…I told you not to touch my stuff without asking.”

“What was I to do, you weren’t around?”

“How many times is this now?”

How many times you’ve touched my things without asking. Mikael muttered quietly to himself and began counting on his fingers. His expression was far from normal.

Meanwhile, I nervously darted my eyes back and forth.

‘Mikael hates it most when people touch his stuff.’

It wasn’t about the clothes being worn. It was the mere fact of his belongings being touched without his permission. To Mikael, it was as distasteful as anything.

Suddenly, Mikael stood up and briskly walked over to Daeban.
