Barhan watched Aden, who sat at his desk, chin resting in his hand, staring intently at the surface.

Seeing Aden remain unresponsive despite the ongoing report, Barhan moistened his dry lips and turned to the next page of the documents.

Though Barhan’s words flowed without pause, Aden remained fixed like a steadfast tree, gazing unwaveringly at a single spot.
