Raising a Villain Went Wrong (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 41
Namgung Ryeo had never seen someone so overwhelming before. He was clearly a boy her age, yet strong and intimidating.
‘Is this how a herbivore feels?’
It felt as if she were facing a wild, untamable beast. Afraid that even hesitating to answer might anger the beast, Namgung Ryeo stammered on.
“I—I’m Namgung Ryeo.”
At her reply, Dan Mok Bi’s eyebrows arched slightly. He spoke in a cold voice.
“Who asked for your name? Do you live here too?”
She instinctively realized that admitting she lived here would instantly turn her into another corpse sprawled on the ground. Namgung Ryeo forced her stiffened tongue to move and barely managed to point toward the mountain beyond where she’d been staying.
“A—no. I live beyond that peak.”
“Hmph.”
Dan Mok Bi exhaled sharply through his nose at Namgung Ryeo’s answer. She couldn’t tell if he believed her or not, but she knew she’d narrowly escaped danger.
Just as Namgung Ryeo let out a sigh of relief, Dan Mok Bi’s eyebrows twitched.
“Oh? So there’s a maggot pretending to be dead even though it’s not?”
“Huh?”
He looked completely lifeless—how could he still be alive? Namgung Ryeo tilted her head in confusion.
As Dan Mok Bi began stomping forward, one of the corpses lying on the ground astonishingly sprang upright and started frantically clasping his hands together.
