My heart pounded.
I bit my lips tightly.
The red lips of the face that had come close drew a delicate curve.
“Yeona.”
Why does he have to call my name so sweetly? My ears were ticklish, and I broke into a cold sweat for some reason.
I bowed my head.
“MMaster.”
He then approached and lifted my chin.
“Why do you bow your head? I want to see your face since it’s been a long time. Are you injured anywhere?”
Chills ran down my spine as his fingers touched my chin and cheek. It was an instinctive fear toward something beautiful and strong.

Holding back my urge to push him away, I forced an awkward smile.
“II’m doing well.”
“…Really?”
His voice dropped for a moment.
‘Did I step on a landmine!’
I looked around, embarrassed, and found his beautiful face wearing a bright smile.
‘Ah, this is not good.’
A red light flashed in my mind. During the ten years since I was possessed, there had never been a time when he was so happy to smile.
This scoundrel, Danmokbi, spoke with a sweet smile that seemed to melt, each word feeling thorny.
“I’ve been doing well too. I didn’t torture people as Yeona commanded, and even though I wanted to kill them, I endured it, and I helped the weak ones. Everyone praised me as a nobleman full of righteousness.”

“IIt’s good.”
Isn’t it good that others praised him?
‘He tried to listen to me even when I was away.’
I honestly thought it was just nonsense and could have ignored it, but I was a bit touched.
I complimented him, but Danmokbi’s eyes froze coldly.
“Do you really think so? My insides are rotting, aren’t they?”
From the cursed second son of Danmok clan to a nobleman full of righteousness, what’s the problem?
‘Why are the insides rotting? Just enjoy the life of being noticed.’
I rolled my eyes, observing Danmokbi’s reaction.
Then, Danmokbi’s arm suddenly embraced my waist. My heart pounded at the sudden closeness of his gaze.

Danmokbi whispered in a chilly voice.
“Why did you run away, Yeona?”
“I…”
I had a lot to say. That he would soon have a wedding, that he no longer needed me, and that I had to find my life as I couldn’t always rely on him.
More than anything, I didn’t run away. I was driven away.
“Think well and answer.”
But I couldn’t say it directly. The moment I spoke, I knew several heads would fall.
‘If he knows I was driven away, he won’t just sit still.’
I knew he would surely fight with my father, who had driven me away.
‘I’ve just started getting recognition from my father. I can’t mess up their relationship because of me.’

So, I just bit my lips tightly. Knowing that I would never answer, Danmokbi asked again with a bright smile.
“Did you really do well without me?”
“…….”
His large finger slowly approached and gently caressed my cheek.
Facing his hand, which was so scary but treated me like fragile glass, I almost cried. I felt his complex feelings towards me.
‘What should I say?’
Honestly, if this was a karma, it was karma.
I was the original author of this novel, and he was the final villain.
But I also felt wronged.
‘I never wrote it so cruelly!’

You promised to live kindly, Master.
Why are you doing this to me?!
[This is the time separator]Martial Arts Novel [Fire Dance of Red Blossoms].
The righteous protagonist, overcoming the villain writhing in inferiority, grasping love and friendship, it was truly a traditional martial arts novel.
“The scene where it was revealed that the ultimate villain was the male protagonist’s twin brother was the highlight.”
I don’t know how I thought of that.
“Brilliant, me!”
Why am I suddenly praising myself?
“Because I’m the original author of that novel.”
That martial arts novel was my first work. I had put tremendous effort into it as I was writing. When the protagonist laughed, I laughed too, and when the protagonist cried, I also cried.

Throughout writing, I thought this.
“I want to see how handsome my child is.”
The male protagonist of [Hwamusibilhong], Danmokchang, was set as an unrivaled handsome man who controlled the martial world.
…But that didn’t mean I wanted to be inside the actual novel!
Was it because I was too obsessed with my first novel? When I opened my eyes, I found myself possessed in the world of [Hwamusibilhong].
I was working as a young servant in the Danmoksega of Jolgangseong.
When I first realized the possession, this scream naturally came out of my mouth.
“I’m doomed. How will I live in this world?”
Understandably. This world had no cell phones, electricity, cars.
Even essential items like shampoo or soap were missing.

“Isn’t there anything like mosquito repellent?”
Even insect repellents were lacking.
One week after the possession. It was summer, and I was engaged in a battle with insects.
“Ah, really. I can’t sleep because of the mosquito noise.”
There’s no fragrance to chase the mosquitoes here, nor any medicine to apply after being bitten.
Scratching the bitten spots, I sighed.
“The concern about being possessed is not the future of this world, but merely mosquito eradication.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
