Jae Oh, seeing Chae Yoon, stopped what he was doing and turned toward her.

“Why did you come in?”

Chae Yoon pointed with her eyes to the scattered plates and fruit behind Jae Oh.

“Sounded like you were smashing something—how could I not come in?”

One of his thick eyebrows twitched upward.

He had been looking for tea leaves or tea bags, accidentally knocked over a tray sitting on the sink, and while taking fruit out of the fridge, bumped into something—that was the scene just moments ago.

Realizing Chae Yoon had every reason to think that, Jae Oh cleared his throat once and muttered softly,

“…I was just looking for things because I didn’t know where anything was.”

I didn’t know the cabinet door slammed that hard.

At his sullen muttering, the corners of Chae Yoon’s mouth tugged upward against her will.

Preparing a tea tray in the kitchen—somewhere he’d never set foot before—was difficult for him too, since he had no idea where anything was.

Moreover, Jae Oh had never done any kitchen work before, so Chae Yoon had expected his tea tray setup to be a complete mess.

Yet the tea set sat neatly arranged on the wooden tray, and the apples and grapes he’d taken from the fridge looked surprisingly presentable.

Han Jae Oh had done this?

Unable to hide her curiosity despite herself, Chae Yoon carefully took in everything he’d prepared, suppressing the smile threatening to break through.
