As Alicia, flustered, tried to pull away, Eric held her steady and spoke with perfect nonchalance.

“Wouldn’t it be troublesome if I just disappeared in this situation?”

“…Are you trying to blackmail the Empire?”

“Unfortunately, the Empire needs me right now.”

Smirking, Eric traced a path from Alicia’s delicate earlobe down along her jawline to her lips.

Gripping Eric’s shoulders tightly as he kissed her tenderly and earnestly, Alicia felt herself sinking deeper.
