“When Lady Alicia was young, she often visited the temple with Earl Lancaster.”

“It seems you were here for research.”

“……Yes. I was so delighted to see her after nearly 10 years.”

“She picked things up very quickly. To the point where I thought it would be nice if she became a priestess.”

As the young priest who was standing next to the old priest butted in, Eric’s expression turned sour.

Priests were prohibited from marrying. It was unpleasant to hear such a remark in front of his fiancee.

Then, the young priest shrank back, hastily beginning to excuse himself.

“II’m sorry. It’s not that I really hoped for it, but it was surprising to see her communicate so well. As if she knew everything from long ago. Do you think I would have thought that way, when my fiancee is glaring at me like this? I was so moved when Lady Alicia was so worried about you back then. Oh, seeing you two now, you two look so well together. I must have been out of my mind for a moment.”

“······.”

As Eric watched the young priest babbling in a highpitched tone without pause, another priest cut in with a bored expression.

“But wouldn’t it be better to schedule the Proxy Priest’s schedule in advance?”

“?”

“The Duke’s wedding ceremony is usually conducted by the Proxy Priest, right? Since the Proxy Priest has so many schedules, you should schedule it in advance. Even if you book it now, it will probably be available a few months later.”

“Ah.”

Feeling as if he had returned to reality suddenly, Eric shut his mouth.

The few months he had thought of a few months ago were clear.

But he couldn’t tell what the few months he was thinking of now would be like.

‘It can’t be that I don’t know.’

The end of the contract was clearly set.

So, changing it is a problem.

No, is it a problem if it doesn’t change?

Confused, Eric rose from his seat.

“Why are you doing this?”

“I have another appointment. I think it’s time to end today’s meeting as there is nothing more to discuss.”

“That’s true. I’ll contact you if I find out more.”

“Thank you. Then.”

Eric bid farewell and quickly left the meeting room.

Knock knock.

In front of Alicia’s office, Eric opened the door and leaned against the frame to knock.

As this was a familiar sight, Alicia raised her head and smiled.

“You’re supposed to knock before you come in.”

“It was open.”

As that was a familiar response, Alicia gave a short laugh. Following her, Eric also smiled and sat on the sofa.

“What brings you here? You said you might be late because of a meeting at the Proxy Shrine.”

“It ended earlier than I thought.”

“The results must not have been great.”

“It’s not that they weren’t great, there were none. So, I couldn’t prolong it.”

“That’s serious.”

“There was something seriouslike.”

“Why? What happened?”

When Alicia asked with a worried expression, Eric laughed as if it was nothing, then asked.

“What do you think?”

“About what?”

“What if you want to change the already agreed ending? That would be serious, right?”

Not knowing what he was talking about, but seeing Eric’s serious expression, Alicia also seriously opened her mouth.

“If the person who agreed also wants to change, wouldn’t it be fine?”

“Of course, it would be.”

“Why? Does the other person not want to change?”

“I don’t know yet.”

“Then, talk to them well. I think they will listen well because you’re not the type to talk nonsense.”

“Do you think so?”

When Alicia nodded, Eric smiled.

“I am confused about whether I want to change it, but it’s not that I have to.”

“Oh, so you can leave it as it is.”

“If possible. That’s what I think is right.”

Eric mumbled in a slightly softer voice than before.

“Probably.”

“?”

After staring at Eric for a while, Alicia rose from her seat and sat next to Eric.

“Are you really okay? Is it something you’re really worried about?”

“······.”

Eric silently looked at Alicia’s worried face, then grinned.

“Do you have a lot of work? Well, it doesn’t matter even if you do. As your employer, I’ll give you permission. Let’s take a break today.”

“All of a sudden?”

“Yes. It’s okay to do that once in a while, isn’t it?”
Alicia looked at Eric for a moment and, with a smile, pushed aside the documents she had been reviewing.

“Alright. What will we do?”

“Uh.”

There wasn’t anything immediately springing to mind for Eric.

If he were just a guy, they could have had a drink together.

Eric seemed to have a thought after a moment of contemplation and stood up from his spot.

“Just wait a bit. When I’m ready and call, come out.”

“What should I prepare for?”

However, without a word, Eric left the office quickly, leaving Alicia behind.

“What’s this all about?”

Alicia asked with a perplexed expression as she tried to change her clothes with the maid.

“You’re going on a date. Hence, you must dress appropriately.”

“A date?”

“You’re going out with the Count, aren’t you?”

“Ah. A date. That’s right. Yes, a date.”

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
