Please Kill My Husband (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 37
“I should’ve brought an umbrella.”
Unexpected rain fell outside the window. The winter in Estan, the capital of the Hilard Empire, occasionally brought such downpours that sometimes caused floods.
Hence, umbrellas were one of the winter essentials for gentlemen.
“If you haven’t brought one, I can prepare one for you separately.”
“No need.”
Aden lightly dismissed Kedilen’s polite offer and picked up his teacup.
“Only the Empire’s aristocrats who love putting on airs use that sort of thing—it doesn’t suit someone like me. More importantly—”
Aden cut off his sentence, apparently displeased by the excessively sweet tea, and gently furrowed his brow.
Staring blankly at the reddish brew, Aden set the cup down on the coaster with a soft sigh.
Crossing his legs, he reached into the case on the table and pulled out a cigarette instead of drinking his tea.
“What’s the reason you brought me here, Marquis?”
“Is there any special reason? I merely felt delighted to see you, Duke, and thought we might share a cup of tea.”
“Delighted, you say.”
Aden gave a small, mocking grin as he gently bit down on the cigarette between his teeth.
“We’re hardly on friendly terms, are we? Much less the sort who’d sit across from each other for tea.”

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
