Beresa’s eyes flickered minutely in the air thick with tension.

For a moment, Berea’s startled mouth nearly burst out with a sharp cry demanding, “What on earth are you doing?”

But at the same moment, Aden raised his open palm to calm Berea and then spoke.

“Epinephrine.”

“…Yes?”

“Hurry!”

Snapping out of her daze at Aden’s shout, Berea quickly scanned the surroundings.

She hurriedly pulled out an emergency kit from among the neatly arranged tools beneath the decorative sword hanging on the wall.

Her momentary panic seemed to vanish; Berea skillfully found the medication, drew it into a syringe, and slowly injected it into Ludmila under Aden’s instructions.

Meanwhile, Aden continued administering first aid.

Fortunately, shortly after the medication was administered, Ludmila’s breathing difficulty disappeared, and color returned to her previously pale face.

“Haah… haah…”

After exhaling deeply, Ludmila met Aden’s downward gaze and slowly tried to sit up.

But before she could, Aden slid an arm beneath her legs, lifted her gently, and laid her softly onto the Chesterfield sofa.

“Stay still. The medicine’s taking effect; it’s better not to move.”
