The employees of the Cander Baron family had long treated Arabell’s family, who lived off the baron, as equals. Especially the overly kind Arabell was an easy target for them to shift their responsibilities onto.

It didn’t help that the baron’s estate was desperately poor. Surrounded by mountains, the land was too barren for farming, and there were no significant local products. It was practically a useless piece of land.

If the lord and lady were wise and virtuous, it would have been somewhat bearable, but they were the worst. The baron and his wife were foolish, extravagant, and greedy. Their son, Eric, and daughter, Margo, were no different.

In such a harsh life, the estate’s employees and few villagers had no conscience or capacity to help others.

“Right. Lily will give birth to twins soon. I must go quickly; she must be very scared.”

Eric’s favorite mare, Lily, was more attached to Arabell than her owner. Arabell rushed to her attic room on the fifth floor to change her clothes.

As she passed the second floor, a slap turned Arabell’s head, sending stars across her vision. Clutching her swelling cheek, she looked at her cousin of the same age, her eyes blurred with tears.

“How dare you secretly steal and wear my favorite dress?”

A yellow dress was thrown over Arabell’s face as she stood trembling.

“Don’t give me that stupid look. It was for the Hawthorn Earl’s party on Saturday. And you tore it and hid it?”

“No, it’s not like that…”

“What do you mean it’s not? It’s obvious. Who else cleans my room but you?”

Margo trembled with fury, her snake-like eyes bulging. Arabell, helping with household chores, was also responsible for cleaning the bedrooms.

“Did you tear Margo’s dress?”

The commotion on the stairs brought the baroness, their great-aunt, into view.

“I, I didn’t…”

“Can’t you see she’s guilty? She doesn’t even have an answer. Housekeeper said she was prancing in front of the mirror in Margo’s dress, all happy!”

Unable to articulate, Arabell gaped as Margo yelled at her.

The baroness, not taking her cold gaze off Arabell, called out to Mary.

“Mary!”

“Yes, ma’am.”
“Is it true that you witnessed it with your own eyes?”

“Yes, yes. The day before yesterday morning, I saw Arabell wearing the dress in Miss Margo’s bedroom.”

Housekeeper Mary lied, subtly exchanging glances with Margo. Margo, who didn’t want to wear the out-of-fashion dress to the party, needed a reason to buy a new one.

With the family’s finances in dire straits, especially after covering up an incident involving brother Eric, it was unlikely their mother would easily agree. Cunning Margo conspired with Mary.

Margo herself tore the dress’s shoulder, and Mary agreed to claim she saw Arabell wearing it secretly.

Mary wouldn’t have just helped Margo for no reason. She was irked by the only remaining young maid, Annie, who had already exchanged several secret glances with her flirtatious husband. To afford the expensive dress, they needed to use unbudgeted money, equivalent to three months of a maid’s salary.

“Oh, mother, what should I do? This party is so important… Nobles’ heirs from the capital will attend. Sob, sob.”

“Don’t worry. We’ll dismiss Annie and find a new maid. Meanwhile, Arabell can take over Annie’s duties. You deserve it for ruining such an expensive dress brought from the capital. Be thankful I won’t mention this to your great-uncle.”

The baroness comforted her tearful daughter, holding her shoulders.

The sly housekeeper was content, knowing Arabell, who couldn’t even retort, was more reliable and hardworking than the lazy Annie. Her workload would reduce by a third – killing two birds with one stone.

Arabell, suddenly burdened with Annie’s duties as well, heard her father Jonathan’s heavy footsteps approaching. She couldn’t face him and hung her head in shame, as sharp words rained down upon her.

“How can you be such a hindrance in my life, and in Camille’s and Roxie’s lives too? Knowing how important the racehorse is, you disappear without properly helping? How long will you continue being a parasite in this house?”

Tears spilled over Arabell’s worn shoes, but the harsh words didn’t cease.

“If only you weren’t here… or if you were born with the healing powers like Camille and Roxie!”

“Brother, stop causing a scene and go inside. The baron will be displeased if he hears about the commotion caused by your family again.”

After admonishing her brother, the baroness left with Margo. Jonathan also left, ignoring his weeping daughter.

In her attic room, Arabell bit her lower lip to stifle her sobs, tears streaming down her rough hands.

‘If only I were born with the healing abilities like my sisters…’ Arabell was flooded with guilt.

The Delcinqclaire family, once favored by the imperial family for their healing powers, was of noble descent, albeit a distant past. Originally peasants, they received the title of special barons from the emperor, enjoying a prosperous life for a long time.

However, as foolish humans often do, they began to misuse their blessed abilities for ill purposes.

When yandere male lead believes she loves him — but she never did

“How dare you!”

“How dare you make me love you, only to cast me aside as nothing more than a friend?!?

“I will never accept that.”

“I will never let you return to him.”

“Even if I have to burn myself to ashes.”

“Even if I must shatter my purity, my dignity, my very soul.”

“I will never let you escape me!”

This was the first novel that introduced me to the matriarchal genre. I’ve read it three times already!

At first, the male lead despised the female lead. Later, he misunderstood that she liked him, so he condescendingly and reluctantly reciprocated her feelings.

Then, he suddenly discovered that she was kind to everyone in the same way, and there was already someone she cherished in her heart, and that person was not him.

The male lead couldn’t believe it, he became angry and crazy. He was determined to capture her body and heart by any means necessary.

Synopsis:

Want to see how a green tea bitch male lead falls in love with the female lead?

Want to see how he flirtatiously pursues the female lead?

Want to see how he gets slapped in the face repeatedly?

The male lead is a green tea bitch, a poisonous lotus, jealous, ruthless, unscrupulous, with a venomous heart, and he’s also a delusional maniac.

The female lead is righteous, positive energy-filled, kind, a holy mother.

Let’s see how two people with extreme personalities come together~
