“Your Highness, then please let Miranda and me take turns carrying you fairly!”

While grumbling inwardly in annoyance, the brown-haired maid Hailey looked utterly stricken.

‘Why are these two acting like this?’

Apparently, she too had wanted to carry me around.

‘Because I act too cleverly, they can’t treat me like a baby, and now they’re sick over it.’

This was truly awkward.

‘I knew they were eccentric, but this is no different from Jeff or Hecate.’

What’s so special about merely being carried? For a moment, an image flashed through my mind—Jeff cheerfully crawling on the floor, urging me onto his back—and I felt utterly bewildered.

They were all seriously afflicted.

“Fine. But you two sort out the order yourselves. I don’t feel like micromanaging fairness—it’s too bothersome.”

Anyway, since I’d already decided to go along with this once, I resolved to simply let it unfold as it may.

“Yes!”

“Understood, Your Highness.”

Because I’d dismissed the need to fuss over details and left everything to them, they beamed happily—and I couldn’t quite put into words how I felt about that.

‘Oops, I accidentally used too difficult a word.’
