After finishing my words, I lowered my gaze.

“You really do look far too similar.”

Perhaps because my mood had sunk, an unpleasant sensation surged from all directions and burrowed into my entire body.

On top of that, I became sensitive to some prickling irritation that kept jabbing at my nerves, so I strained my eyes. The anxiety that had begun from suspicion made me want to immediately find the sculptor and question him, but if I failed to control my emotions any further, it would seem strange, so I had to suppress them.

“It’s truly amazing how much this statue resembles someone.”

I forced my expression into order and added a single remark.

“Is that so?”

At that, Sasha tilted his head.

Since the fellow didn’t know my past, it must have been hard for him to accept that a Crown Princess who was only three years old found a statue she was seeing for the first time to resemble someone familiar.

“This is a statue meant to pray for peace.”

Meanwhile, as if he had never been puzzled, Sasha smiled with his eyes and put his hands behind his back.

“Usually, statues like this are made with the face the artist believes to be the most ideal.”

“I know.”

That much is common knowledge. I swallowed the rest of my words, spat out a curt reply, and kicked at the floor.

“Your Highness, the preparations for dinner are complete.”
