Freyrie, stomping her foot petulantly against the innocent floor, finally revealed just how deeply she’d concealed the blade of vengeance—and exactly what she’d do should she ever meet God again.

“First, I’d kick Him squarely in the shin! It’d serve Him right!”

I myself had often prayed that God would sprout horns on His rear end, so I couldn’t claim to misunderstand her sentiments. To some extent, I even sympathized.

Yet knowing the sheer scale of God’s true form, Freyrie’s plan was utterly impossible.

“Aren’t we even tinier to God than ants are to us?”

Thus, I countered her—not to dismiss her feelings, but to nudge her toward accepting reality and seeking alternatives.

After all, God created us with a purpose and a role. Our suffering stemmed from resisting that design. While I, too, longed to repay God for hearing my heart yet never truly acknowledging it—despite claiming everything has meaning—I recognized the futility.

Even if we truly challenged that divine authority, I doubted we could ever destroy or erase Him.

After all, with merely a flick of His finger through empty air and a single uttered will, God could reduce me to dust without effort.

“You wouldn’t even get close enough to see His feet, let alone His shins.”

Surely Freyrie—having parted from God before I did—couldn’t be unaware of this. I shrugged my shoulders, and only then did Freyrie seem to recall something, biting her lip in frustration.

“That’s not the point!”
