It was lucky that I was reborn as the princess of the country I had built in my past life. What would he have done if I had awakened as a human living in a distant land?

It was all a game of extreme probabilities, a gamble, and risky. Yurik could have lost everything he’d sacrificed and never see me again.

“I don’t think it’s foolish. I got to see you before my power ran out.”

However, Yurik was calm, saying he had received enough reward by briefly meeting and exchanging a few words with me.

“Now it seems I can rest easy.”

After spending only a few minutes with me, Yurik, who had gathered nonexistent strength, began to disappear like smoke from the squirrel’s body. I momentarily lost myself, then placed my hand on my chest and gripped my clothes tightly.

“My friend.”

The squirrel was startled as all of Yurik’s energy drained out, then climbed a tree and left.

“May you cherish the connections by your side, and live a life that looks back and gives.”

You cheeky kid, nagging till the end!

Yurik’s floating energy completely oxidized and disappeared, repeating the same words until the end. I reluctantly responded, “Alright.”

“I’ve wasted too much time meeting Yurik.”

Afterward, I felt a lingering sensation and was unsettled, so I couldn’t step away and sought the exit again.

“But is there even an exit?”

An ominous thought crossed my mind.

‘I have to use the last resort, as I’m just wasting time.’

Partially because the squirrel had drained my energy, but I no longer had the energy to wander for hours. So, I decided to scream at the top of my lungs.

“Is there anyone nearby!”

I took a few deep breaths, clenched both hands, and even jumped on the spot.

There should be maids, knights, and servants deployed in every section of the Imperial City, so someone would appear. I made myself as noticeable as possible.

“Darjeeling!”

Alright, you’ve come. I turned toward the voice, feeling a slight sting in my throat. Thinking I didn’t have to roam the maze with my short legs anymore brightened my previously dark future as if illuminated by moonlight.
“Our daughter, stay where you are, Daddy is coming soon!”

Damn it, it had to be Jeph. I turned my head happily, felt disappointed, and then decided to be happy again. It’s not like that guy showing up right away is a bad thing.

“Judging by the location of the room, it seems there was a meeting today.”

Perhaps this too was a favor from the heavens, I decided to quickly wait for Jeph to come.

“Your Majesty, it’s dangerous!”

“Eshian, leave it be! Can’t you see our daughter standing there alone?”

But what’s with Jeph’s nagging voice that keeps echoing in my ears? I pretended not to hear and made a stupid face. It was annoying that he kept saying I was scared.

Woosh[Dash].

‘Slow down, you brat!’

Could he have really jumped? I was startled and stepped back as Jeph, who appeared in less than ten minutes, charged at me, raising a cloud of dust.

Bang!

Jeph, who soon hugged me tightly, had teary eyes.

“Having heard our daughter’s desperate cries, my heart sank.”

Jeph, whose face seemed ready to cry at any moment, carefully examined me and then asked a question.

I knew you were hanging out with Fleur’s children today, so why are you alone?

‘Ah, I completely forgot.’

Only then did I remember the presence of the maids and the children. A moment later, cold sweat flowed as I racked my brain on how to remedy my mistake, but no solution appeared.

“Your Majesty, what will happen if you run off like that!”

“Your Highness!”

Shortly after, Jeph’s aide Eshian and Miranda appeared.

“Your Highness, are you injured?”

“Yeah. As you can see, I’m fine.”

Feeling awkward for having yelled too much earlier, Miranda approached and choked up.

“I’m so relieved you’re safe, Your Highness! Poppy smelled your scent and showed us the way, so we could rush here.”

The maid must have been briefly negligent while watching the three children, and all I did was curiously follow the squirrel. But all the blame fell on the maid.

“….”

And Jeph, this guy, stared at Miranda as if blaming her, then asked in a subdued voice.

“Where on earth is your mind?”

If you had properly assisted the princess, this wouldn’t have happened, yelled Jeph, his anger unabated.

“A three-year-old child lost her way, how scared must she have been!”

“It’s all my fault, Your Majesty.”

He’d kill someone with that look, really kill them. I glanced at Jeph and muttered to myself that he was being too sensitive.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
