While momentarily lost in deep thought, fairies appeared and flew around me, giggling. They seemed to have hidden because of YongYong’s large size and emerged once he was gone.

“I’m having serious thoughts right now, so go away.”

The little creatures’ antics lightened my previously heavy mood.

I played with the fairies for a bit before returning home, and quickly forgot my tangled thoughts as I stored up human love in a box.

YongYong’s warning seemed like nothing.

However, not long after, the humans started a massive fight over me, and I found myself trapped in the shackles of eternity.

“You seem quite shocked to see a dragon for the first time.”

Coming to my senses, I realized I still had my hand on YongYong’s body.

“Yes…”

Startled, I quickly pulled my hand away.

‘So many memories flashed by all at once.’

I hadn’t expected this to happen.

Who could have guessed that merely trying to touch a dragon would lead to seeing the beginning of life itself?

‘And yet only a few seconds have passed.’

I shakily opened and closed my hand several times.

“Let’s go back. I think we’ve seen enough.”

No sooner had I returned to reality than I felt a chill penetrate my skin. I shivered and hurriedly told Jeff we should leave the underground space.

“Let’s do that.”

Meanwhile, Jeff, worried about me catching cold, pulled me tightly into his arms.

“Our daughter seems to be quite chilly, so let’s get her to her room quickly.”

Jeff exchanged glances with Eshian and picked up the pace.

Just before Jeff began climbing the stairs, I took one last look at YongYong, who lay asleep on the altar. A variety of thoughts filled my mind as I saw the creature, who seemed ready to unfurl his massive wings and roar, lying so peacefully.

I decided then to find out why he had ended up like that.

In truth, mystical beings had vanished when God made it so I couldn’t answer questions, and it had already been hundreds of years since beings on Earth last saw them.

Yet, the fact that he had left his peaceful habitat to come to the human world in such a state made my skin crawl with curiosity.

I immediately ordered the maids to bring related books.
“Your Highness, where would you like the book you requested to be placed?”

“Stack it right next to me, within easy reach.”

I had been reading books haphazardly. Whether the maid noticed this or not, Jeff later gifted me a doll and toys that resembled YongYong, leaving me bewildered.

In any case, upon investigating, I found numerous stories about blue dragons. It seemed they frequently visited both divine lands and Earth since the dawn of humanity, often riding on YongYong.

‘Could the dragon’s breath that was applied to my old wound have been made from YongYong’s energy?’

Why did I suddenly think of the rare ointment, of which only a handful remained in the world? I had no idea.

‘It’s hard to be certain, since it wasn’t just YongYong who came down to Earth.’

I decided to focus on finding the information I wanted for now.

A considerable amount of time passed, but I achieved nothing noteworthy.

Angry at the lack of any reliable information, I impulsively threw the book.

“Return all the books to the library; I’ve read enough.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

I spat out the words at the maid and went out to the balcony in frustration. Poppy had been napping the whole time I was engrossed in the books and hurriedly followed me.

‘Anyway, about YongYong…’

I folded my arms and inhaled the fresh air as I thought.

Jeff had extracted the energy using special devices, so YongYong would remain underground.

‘The twilight years of a great dragon are indeed peculiar.’

I shook my head and tsk-tsked, then returned to my room when the maid called.

“Let’s go to the southern garden today. None of you have been there, right?”

A few days later, I reunited with Fleur and the children.

Wondering if there was anything new, I decided to have an outing in a distant garden.

When Carlisle gave his opinion, Ronoway and Beris immediately lit up.

Why did these kids make plans on their own? I sighed internally but joined them.

By the time we reached the southern garden, mimicking a train, I was tired. I made an excuse and headed to a table where desserts and drinks were prepared.

Beris, knowing I was not feeling well, couldn’t insist I play. Instead, she took Poppy and started rolling on the lawn, causing the maids to panic.

‘It’s good she’s not pestering me to play.’

Kids are unpredictable, so I decided to watch the mood and act accordingly.

While I was watching everyone play like a spectator, a noise from behind made me tense.

Contrary to my expectation of a spy or assassin, a squirrel suddenly lifted its head from among the desserts.
