‘What’s so fun about playing knight with such a petty wooden sword?’
I blankly stared at the Fleur siblings playing and then glanced at the clock on the wall.
‘Darn it. Uh, darn!’
It hadn’t even been 10 minutes since I came to the playroom.
It felt like I had been here for about 10 hours, and time seemed to be crawling by today.
So I spent time building and breaking down blocks, ignoring Beris’s requests to swordfight.
“Your Highness, let’s build a beautiful castle!”
Suddenly, Ronowe came to my side and started building blocks. It seemed that way because blocks were spread all over the floor.
Not long after, Ronowe, who had been wandering around, began to build something like a tower. After a few minutes, the blocks Ronowe was stacking took the shape of a building.
“Oh, Ronowe. You’re quite good, aren’t you?”
It was well made for a child, and I unconsciously clapped a few times.
“Hehe. Thank you, Your Highness!”
Ronowe looked pleased after receiving the compliment.
“Is it all done now?”
“No, Your Highness! We need to add the roof now!”
Ronowe’s eyes sparkled as she held a coneshaped block.
‘True, a castle needs a hornshaped roof.’
I inwardly agreed with Ronowe’s opinion.
“Your Highness, if you put the roof on like this, Shuuuung!”
Ronowe wore a triumphant expression.
Thud!
The carefully built toy castle collapsed with a dull sound in an instant. Wondering what had happened, I turned my head, and Beris had destroyed the castle with his toy sword.
From the surprised look on his face, it wasn’t intentional, but Ronowe was quite hurt and burst into tears.
“Stop! Be good?”
“Uaaaaah! The castle! The castle has collapsed! Your Highness! Uaaah!”
Oh my, what a hassle. I touched my forehead and picked up one of the dolls rolling around on the floor.
“Now, now. Be good? Play with this.”
“This, a doll?”
“That’s right, a doll. Here, take it.”
“Thank you, Princess.”
I handed her the doll and patted her back, and then Ronowe suddenly got up and ran around the playroom with Beris, laughing.
‘Children are indeed children.’
It was quite adorable to see Ronowe and Beris playing happily together just from giving them a doll. Thinking about it, children don’t hold grudges. Even if they fight, they make up quickly and play together.
‘But why is Carlile so quiet?’
I looked around and found Carlile standing by the window. Whether there was something outside or not, Carlile was staring intently out the window.
‘Is it because he’s more wellbehaved than the other two?’
It felt like I had matured early. I didn’t know if it was because Ronowe and Beris were playing noisily, but seeing Carlyle made me feel at peace.
‘He pleases me.’
That guy, whether you look at him rolling forward or rolling backward, he has the air of a general.
‘I might as well call him General from now on.’
He could be a loyal servant if taught well. I had this thought for a moment, then I saw an overlap between Jeff and Carlyle.
‘What turned you into such a foolishly loving father?’
I withdrew my gaze from Carlyle and sprawled on the sofa. No matter how I was reborn as a child, playing with such immature youngsters didn’t suit my temperament. Resting like this was better than playing with blocks again.
When you think about it, it was thanks to Beris and Ronowe playing together that I got a brief respite.
“Kyahaha! Kyahak!”
Of course, the rest was short. Because of Ronowe and Beris, the two troublemakers, running around the playroom everywhere, screaming. Seeing them nearly stumble on the blocks scattered on the floor, frolicking as if they were flying, felt like watching a spectacle.
‘I’m definitely not doing this because I like you.’
If they got hurt, it would be my responsibility. So I picked up the scattered blocks one by one. It was obvious that I would be wrapped up in a hassle if those young ones stepped on them and got hurt.
‘Ugh, just thinking about it is disgusting. I hate it so much.’
If they get hurt, they’ll undoubtedly cry their eyes out, and then I’ll have to listen to the crying until I’m deaf. Just imagining it gave me goosebumps.
“I got it first! It’s mine!”
“No! It’s mine!”
In a short while, Ronowe and Beris were arguing again. I looked to see what they were fighting over, and I saw colored pencils and paper in both children’s hands.
‘When did they pick those up?’
It was toy knives before, now they were fighting over drawing pictures.
“Both of you stop!”
I yelled in irritation as they continued to fight. At this, Ronowe and Beris, who were squabbling amongst themselves, stopped their quarrel and stared at me wideeyed.
“We got scolded because of sister!”
“Why is it because of me? It’s because of you!”
That, too, lasted only a moment, and the two glared at each other, growling.
‘They’ll fight and cry and make up and laugh all day at this rate.’
I shook my head in dismay.
“Both of you give them here.”
I had no choice but to take the colored pencils and paper from the Fleur siblings. I took them both fairly so they wouldn’t fight anymore.
“Wooooo…….”
Male lead Asks for a Divorce Every Day
It’s not often you come across a plot like this in the female-dominant genre — make sure to check it out!
This is a novel I’m planning to reread as well.
The male lead is strong, skilled in martial arts, and not the usual fragile type you often see in matriarchal novels.
Meanwhile, the female lead is a scientist—rational and logical. Even when she falls for the male lead, she doesn’t let her emotions cloud her decisions.
If you push through the first few chapters, you’ll gradually find the story really intriguing.
It has a mix of mystery, detective elements, and romance.
The author’s writing style is like crafting a puzzle—except they deliberately leave out a few pieces, making it hard to predict what happens next, yet keeping you hooked.
In the end, everything will come together and be explained.
One-sentence summary: Wife, stop playing with beakers and look at me!
In a laboratory accident, research scientist Zhu Wansheng accidentally travels to a matriarchal world. The original owner of the body is an eighteen-year-old only daughter of a wealthy rouge merchant, already married with a handsome young man.
Zhu Wansheng grins: Nice! She always said she was heaven’s favorite granddaughter. After a life of toil in her previous life, she can enjoy blessings in this one.
However, her joy lasts no more than three seconds as bad news arrives: the original owner’s family is about to go bankrupt, and her husband wants a divorce.
Even worse, she’s stuck with a research system full of restrictions.
Zhu Wansheng: ? Is this the destiny of a research dog?
——
Faced with this mess, Zhu Wansheng pours herself a bowl of wine to drown her sorrows. In her drunken haze, her husband arrives.
His figure is imposing, holding a long sword, with a dignified air that captivates Zhu Wansheng.
Gu Yingqing, however, looks at the alcohol-reeking Zhu Wansheng with undisguised disgust and coldly asks, “Divorce or not?” The intoxicated Zhu Wansheng mumbles vaguely, “I think… it’s not… it’s not… impossible!”
——
The next day, after sobering up, Zhu Wansheng is full of energy, rolling up her sleeves ready to make a big move. As for yesterday? She has no memory of it.
Zhu Wansheng is ambitious; a research dog fears nothing!
Upgrading rouge, extracting fragrances, producing perfumes, researching lipsticks… all shall bow to the power of modern technology!
The original owner’s dying rouge shop is revitalized. Her mother is pleased and with a wave of her hand, passes on the family business to her. As she takes control and her experimental results gain popularity, it’s the pinnacle of her life…
——
But there are always those who can’t stand to see her doing well. Jealousy, scheming, assassination attempts – they want nothing less than her life.
The person who has always kept his distance from her suddenly holds her tightly in his arms, eyes full of concern.
She is unharmed, but he falls into a pool of blood…
Zhu Wansheng feels guilty, “I can grant you one wish.”
Gu Yingqing tentatively circles his arms around her, carefully resting his head in the crook of her neck, pleading softly, “I regret it. Can we not divorce?”
Zhu Wansheng: ? When did I agree to a divorce?

The newly developed rouge is beautifully packaged, and Zhu Wansheng is eager to try it.
Gu Yingqing suddenly appears: “My lady, may I apply it for you?”
Cool fingertips lightly brush her lips. His Adam’s apple bobs as he leans in for a light bite.
Zhu Wansheng: ?
Gu Yingqing: It smells so good, I wanted to taste it…
On a warm spring day, Zhu Wansheng tries a new perfume: “Spring Night.” Gu Yingqing corners her against a wall.
Warm breath lingers on her neck.
“My lady, from now on, may I test the fragrances for you?”
