The key of the western land, Fleur, has arrived, called by the light.

The woman who entered with three children bowed her head politely. The greeting filled with courtesy felt quite strange after such a long time. Moreover, her graceful, flawless movements made it clear she was a noble.

“Your Majesty, have you been well?”

The woman looked at me and Jeff, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth. Thanks to that, I was able to examine her appearance.

Hair nearly creamcolored, and red eyes.

She seemed to be the descendant of someone who was in charge of supplies during my past life as emperor. Since red eyes were not common in this empire, this deduction was not difficult.

“Welcome, Count Fleur. You must have had a hard journey.”

What surprised me more was Jeff calling the woman “Count.”

Because when I was the emperor, that family was merely a noble known for producing many knights.

Of course, I had been enthroned and died about 20 years ago, and 10 years could change everything, including the land and mountains. However, surpassing one’s status at birth was rare, even in a classbased society.

So I couldn’t help but admire Count Fleur for rising to such a rank in such a short time. Of course, I didn’t show it.

“Thanks to Your Majesty’s care, we were able to arrive smoothly.”

With a light greeting, Count Fleur took a step back. Then I could see the children who arrived with her more clearly.

One child was in the arms of the maid that had come along and was clearly younger than the children standing next to the Count. The child’s snowwhite hair was different from Count Fleur, but the red eyes confirmed the Fleur lineage.

“They all look bright. Are these children under your care?”

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

Jeff looked at the children one by one, then focused on me, as if telling me to look at them properly. Even without his prompting, I was observing them well.

“Children, you should greet him.”

When Count Fleur spoke in a gentle voice, the child in the maid’s arms flinched and then buried her face, avoiding eye contact. It seemed she was shy.

“Greetings, Your Majesty!”

On the other hand, a girl with pigtails greeted properly. Seeing her lift the hem of her dress and bow, it was clear that she had been properly trained in etiquette.

‘Really, a noble’s child?’

I thought she was quite impressive.

“My name is Ronowe Masha Fleur!”

Hearing the name of the ancient demon ‘Ronowe’ from the girl’s mouth, I couldn’t help but wonder if a demon was possessing her for a moment.

But the girl’s red eyes did not show the waves of sin I would expect from demons. Rather, they seemed quite clear.

“Please take care of me!”

Ronowe smiled brightly and stood straight again. If she were a demon, she was extraordinarily kind.

‘After all, it’s been so long since demons disappeared from the earth. Would there be one possessing her?’

Above all, if she were a demon, she would have attacked me on sight.

Back in the distant past, I had a poor relationship with demons, thanks to a god breaking my wings for tormenting me and receiving favoritism from the deity.

“My name is Carlyle Pashinelly Bergamot.”

While I was lost in thought, the boy standing next to the girl spoke.

This boy, looking 23 years older than the others, radiated an unchildlike maturity. His black hair mixed with green in his blue eyes was quite impressive.

From his name to his appearance, Carlyle didn’t resemble the Fleur family at all. I wondered why a child of the Bergamot family, a ducal family, was being educated by the Fleur family.

“Little Master, you should greet him too.”

After the two children finished their greetings, the maid spoke to the boy she was holding. But the boy still seemed shy and did not respond.

“Beris.”
Upon this, the Duke of Fleur showed a slight stern expression. His voice was still soft, but for some reason, an eagle soaring high in the sky came to mind.

“The child seems shy; just leave her alone.”

Jeff casually raised one hand to the Duke of Fleur as if to say it was okay.

“Thank you for your understanding, Your Highness.”

“No, it’s only natural.”

Jeff glanced at me. Without realizing it, I frowned, but he didn’t seem to care.

“Take good care of our princess from now on.”

What do you mean take good care?

It was only for a moment that I couldn’t understand and cocked my head. Soon, I was moved from Jeff’s arms to the arms of a maid.

[This is a time separator.]

A few minutes later, I arrived at the playroom that Jeff had prepared for me.

‘What am I doing right now? I feel like a nanny, not a companion.’

And now, I’m building blocks with the children of Fleur. I don’t know why I’m doing this, but I’m doing it without complaint because Jeff insisted that I fit in well.

“Kyaa! Shuuuuung!”

Beris, who had been shy when greeting me earlier, was running around the playroom like crazy. I don’t know where he got it, but he had a toy sword in his hand.

“You, Sister! Take my sword!”

“Beris! Where are you hitting!”

“I didn’t hit!”

Apparently, Beris really liked the wooden toy sword.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
