“What’s that nonsense?”

I was so incredulous.

Lilis raised one eyebrow at the words she whispered.

“I am the first thing God created. A human.”

The longawaited answer was ridiculous after making me tense.

“Huh?”

Oh, what’s with that reaction?

I straightened my back, slightly annoyed at Lilis’s attitude as she wrapped one hand around her cheek.

I thought she was joking, spouting nonsense without basis, since I knew her from my first life, when I was favored by God.

“You seem to be unaware of how dangerous it is to expose your existence….”

But then she blurted out something irrelevant.

“It seems you don’t know how dangerous it is.”

No, that’s not what we’re talking about now.

I asked Lilis, who was covering her mouth with one hand and smiling, quite disdainfully.

“You recognized me. Isn’t it strange that I’m hiding now?”

If it were not a special case like Lilis who saw through my true identity despite my different appearance, there would be no danger.

Besides, I hadn’t revealed it to guys like Hecate and Jeph, except for Ulrika, the only one who understood all of me.

There was no one left in the world to understand, and there was no need to scratch and create confusion by talking, since it would only make things confusing.

I’ve lived hundreds of years; I wouldn’t repeat the foolish act of jeopardizing my life.

“That’s true.”

So tell me who hates me properly!

I pushed down the words that were rising to my throat and decided to change the subject.

“I’ve changed since then.”

I honestly wanted to probe more about the guy who hates me.

But if I did, I felt like the snake would wrap up nonsense in difficult words and consume another hour. There was no telling how much he would wriggle and torment me.

So I decided to steer the conversation in another direction.

“You have no power now, so how did you recognize me?”

Let’s go this way. I looked up at Lilis with a changed heart.

I hadn’t paid much attention because it was uninteresting, but it was necessary to know how the snake recognized me in another flesh.

“It’s because of those unique eyes.”

Why are you smiling ominously again? I blinked, and Lilis raised the corner of her mouth.

“Your noble purple eyes.”

Having finished speaking, Lilis moved her right hand.

Leisurely and slowly, the pleasantfaced snake extended its fingers and moved its index finger to cover exactly where my eyes met, then was silent for a moment.

“Because it’s only allowed to one person in this world.”

Afterward, the snake cleared its right hand and looked at me.

Afterward, Lilis stared intently beyond my eyes as if looking at something for a while, then leaned forward, putting both hands on the desk.

“But how did you recognize me?”

Lilis, now full of curiosity, added.

“We haven’t seen each other for centuries already.”

“Your name and face are the same as before.”

I closed my eyes and sighed.

“I guess I’ll have to use a pseudonym next time.”

“That’s pointless.”

Unless you keep reincarnating and becoming completely different people like me, you can’t hide your identity completely by merely using a different name.

‘The giant existence was eventually forgotten.’

Anyway, hearing Lilis’s story reminds me of the founding myth that Sasha told me.

‘Even the gods didn’t remember the giant existence.’

The reason I, the first human, was loved by the primordial, the second race of humans, was because God created me first.

‘What if one of them is the giant existence in the myth?’

If Lilis won’t tell me properly and I keep dodging around, I may guess that the identity of the one who hates me is one of those.

‘No, that’s a ridiculous thought.’

But that’s it, I judged it was not credible.

‘A mere human’s tale in a myth can’t be trusted.’

That goes for Elaila, Sasha, and many other scholars’ stories.
“Moreover, as I went through countless lives….”

Because I felt it myself during the long, long life I led.

“Nobody stood in my way.”

I’m saying that nothing could stop me.

Even though I had experienced a miserable life like a beggar in the middle, I never failed to forge ahead. If I wished for ten things, I would get all ten, no matter the struggles.

“If a being created before me hates me, he must have hindered me in everything I did.”

Of course, let’s put aside the fact that I only found one answer to the question of God after centuries of my current life. It was always out of reach, no matter how much I sought it.

“Ugh, the snake’s nonsense only confused me!”

The very idea that something hates perfect me doesn’t make sense. I became more and more confused and ruffled my hair with both hands.

“Are you confused about the new existence?”

Then Lilith, who saw my appearance, laughed with a tittering sound.

“Well, I only found out about it recently, so how must you feel?”

That’s real. I clenched my teeth inwardly.

“That guy’s having a blast!”

Sneaking a look around, Poppy was drooling and asleep, and since the lecture was over, I decided to leave quickly.

“The class seems to be over, so I’m leaving.”
