“Woah!”

“What’s that?”

First, ahead of the others, Ronowe and Beris clung to the window.

Their eyes sparkled with curiosity and liveliness, typical of inquisitive and energetic children, filled with interest in anything new.

Squeak—.

‘Why are you sitting like that?’

I expressionlessly opened the large window wide, and a louder shout was heard. The children’s view also widened, enabling them to get a good look at the place bursting with joy and passion.

“What are you doing? Follow me.”

I gestured to the children behind me, and we all stepped onto the balcony together. The throng of people densely packed between the buildings like an ant swarm was astonishing.

“It sounds like it’s coming from far away…….”

Muttering to himself, Carlisle, standing behind the siblings, finally spoke.

“It must be a festival!”

Beris confidently followed. Even he could see at a glance that the atmosphere was one of celebration and enthusiasm, so he seemed sure of it.

‘If there were a festival, as a royal, I should know.’

Unlike the calm children, doubt crept into my heart.

‘But I received no report.’

What’s going on? I narrowed my eyes, watching the scene. Ronowe and Beris’s noisy chatter was almost unbearable, but I endured it, watching the procession that started from afar.

Flutter—.

Then, leading the knights passing through the capital’s entrance and crossing the central square was a knight clad in black armor with a blue cape.

‘Clearly, that person must be the general.’

The life I’d lived as a knight, and my past life as an emperor, told me so. The person in the very front, the leader based on their imposing demeanor and position, had to be the one leading the knights.

Woah—.

‘It reminds me of the old times.’

With the empire’s flag waving vigorously, the sight of the knight squad riding proudly towards the royal palace, receiving the respect and love of the people, reminded me of the times when I had conquered several kingdoms and successively celebrated victories.

‘That feeling was amazing back then.’

I found myself smiling unwittingly, and the applause celebrating success and victory did not cease even after the knight squad had fully entered the royal palace.

‘Jeff will throw a banquet soon.’

With a sore throat, I returned to my room, indifferent to whether the children continued watching or not.

Not long after, Jeff hastily arranged a place to hear the victory report and praise the knights’ hard work upon hearing news of their return.

[This is a time separator.]

Buzz— buzz—.

Mingling with my confidants, I was suddenly made to participate in the formal feast.

‘All the nobles are gathered. It doesn’t seem like a party.’

Since I’d been emperor, I had sat here so often that I felt indifferent, not tense. With no one providing a clear answer when asked, I calmly waited, holding Poppy.

“To the infinite glory of the Bird of Light!”

How bored must I have been? Finally, with the grand shout of the herald, the doors of the Grand Hall opened. As if on cue, the nobles stepped aside, and two shadows loomed large over the red carpet adorned with the dazzling royal emblem.

Clank, clank—.

The heavy friction of armor added solemnity to the quiet surroundings. I stared at the knight, who had stopped at a distance.

‘What’s this? A knight?’

The posture of kneeling and paying respect reminded me of my previous life. In my life as an emperor, I had received reports like this.

“Your Majesty, as commanded, we have completely quelled the rebels.”

Soon, the knight in the blue cape in front extended something.

“Indeed, General. I wish to see the spoils you have brought up close.”

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

That person is the general? I was thinking about what had happened when I was suddenly jolted.

‘What’s the situation here?’

It was not the time to question why this was happening, as many eyes were watching, so I refrained from causing a commotion, maintaining decorum regarding the situation.

“General.”

Meanwhile, Jeff, with the majestic voice of the emperor, called the knight and patted his shoulder with one hand.
“I never doubted that you would succeed.”

With a gentle smile, Jeph spoke to the people gathered in the hall behind him.

“I have a private conversation to have with my general, so everyone, please leave.”

“Yes, Your Majesty!”

Soon after, he reached a conclusion as he dispersed the dozens of nobles gathered.

‘It seems he has returned from the expedition.’

Jeph still held me tightly, and I petted the puppy in his arms as I glanced at the knight.

‘There must be no land left to conquer on this continent. This is strange.’

My curiosity grew, both about the suppression of the rebels and other matters.

“Everyone has left, so now you may be at ease.”

Once the outside noise had faded, Jeph suddenly showed a goofy smile.

“!”

The one who reacted to this was the knight in blue who was standing opposite.

“Then~ I won’t refuse!”

It happened in an instant. The bluecloaked knight, whose tone and accent had become lively and cheerful, suddenly hugged Jeph and me.

‘Aaaaah~.’

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
