For a brief moment, I harbored hope at his direct attention, but it soon turned to disappointment. Even if Father’s words were not wrong, they were insufficient to turn my twisted heart back.

“I am tired of waiting without promise.”
And once again, as an angel, all kinds of negative emotions that should never be harbored towards God boiled in my head like magma. Resentment, hatred, loathing—all of them detrimental to angels, draining their strength.

A moment later, I got up gripping the disheveled curtain without fixing my messy face. I staggered, barely forming words.
