[Aurora (A) uses ‘Fairy’s Touch (A)’.]

Soon, a window appeared announcing the use of the skill. She gestured gracefully as if conducting.

Sparkling pearls fluttered, and the filter basket moved smoothly under the grinder.

“Wow!”

Laura moved softly as if dancing. In sync with her movements, the grinder automatically operated, finely grinding the coffee beans.

The tamper pressed the basket with appropriate force, and it was soon inserted into the espresso machine. When the button was pressed, thick espresso flowed out.

“So this is why a high-intelligence assistant was needed!”

Watching Laura’s actions, I understood the assistant requirements. She used magic to extract espresso.

I was worried that working alone in a coffee shop would involve more tasks than expected, but it seemed I didn’t need to worry about that.

Even if a group of customers came, it would probably be manageable. Not only was it fast, but Laura’s actions were so elegant and beautiful that there was also joy in watching.

“Your iced Americano is ready!”

Laura filled a clear glass cup with ice and made an Americano. Taking a sip, the smooth yet bitter taste refreshingly coated my entire mouth.

“Mm! It’s really cool and delicious. I don’t know how long it’s been since I had coffee. I’m so moved I might cry, sniff sniff.”

“Master, don’t cry. I’ll make it for you every day from now on.”

Laura patted me with her hand as thin as a cotton swab. It was so cute and adorable that my tears disappeared.

“There are many other menu items too?”

Other menu items besides Americano were written on the sign at the top of the wall.

[Spring Book Cafe

− Cafe Latte

− Cafe Mocha

− Caramel Macchiato

− Vanilla Latte

− Lemon Ade

.

.

.

− Cheesecake

− Scone

− Donut

− Macaron]

“There’s cake and macarons too!”

Not only drinks but desserts were also available.

“What a windfall!”

My heart raced with excitement.

As a born bread lover since childhood, I had explored every bakery in the neighborhood. When living alone, I often ate only bread for all three meals a day.

I never thought I’d be able to eat bread in the dungeon, but to find it here!

I wanted to try a bite of every bread on the menu right away.

“Besides the menus here, if you develop and register new menus, you can sell them for coins!”

“Really? Hmm… It would be nice to register something like tea brewed from dungeon plant leaves!”

I often made tea from dungeon plant leaves. Now I could sell that for coins too.

“Oh, but you said it’s a book cafe, where are the books?”

Let’s calm down for now. There will be many opportunities to eat and make money.

Wiping away my drool, I asked Laura.

“The books are outside. Just follow me!”

Laura flew outside with a swoosh. Moving to where she was guiding, I saw that the side and back of the coffee shop were all cherry wood bookshelves.

But the bookshelves were empty.

“What’s going on here? There are no books?”

“Try putting your hand on this book cover!”

Looking closely, there was just one book. The cover of the book had a strangely drawn magic circle on it.

The contents inside were also blank.

‘Should I try doing as she says?’

I put my hand on the cover as Laura instructed. Soon the magic circle flashed and light leaked out.

“Ugh…!”

When I opened my eyes after closing them due to the brightness, some of the bookshelves were filled. When I opened the book I was holding, letters that weren’t visible at first were written.

[Book List

− Possessed by the Dungeon, the Goblin Duke Becomes Obsessed

− Becoming the Supreme Being of Blue Starlight Through Regression

− The Villainous Troll Discovers It’s a Novel

− How to Captivate an Arrogant Giant

− Contract Dating with a Kind Ogre Husband

…]

The titles on that list were quite familiar. They clearly had monster names in them, but they weren’t unfamiliar.

What was it? Where had I seen them?

“Possessed by the Dungeon, the Duke Becomes Obsessed… Becoming Supreme Through Regression…”

Soon, when I read it excluding only the monster names, I realized what it was.

“What! These are novels I’ve read!”

Like the midnight theater, the book cafe also had books I had read adapted to fit the dungeon world view.

But most of the titles included obsession, confinement, regression, villainess, etc. That’s because I often read web novels based on interest.

Opening one book and looking at the contents, there was a story about a goblin duke attaching shackles to a siren princess’s tail. I felt dizzy for a moment.

‘I did enjoy reading this….’

[Provider: Yu Bom]

Even the provider’s name was written at the very end of the book list. They were books I enjoyed reading, but it was a bit embarrassing.

There were even R-rated novels mixed in here and there. It felt like my secret hobby had been exposed.

How long had I been reading like that, after skimming through for a while and closing the book, a system notification rang.

[‘Yu Bom (D)’ read ‘Possessed by the Dungeon, the Goblin Duke Becomes Obsessed’ and ‘Health’ increased by 20.]

“It seems this is also a system where you get buffs from reading books?”

“If you finish reading, you can also get a Spring Camping Site commemorative bookmark. You can receive a one-time item related to the book!”

Laura, who was reading the book with interest beside me, said. Not only buffs but souvenirs also had a similar nature.

Speaking of one-time items, I had used a necklace that Gold found with his exploration skill before. It even saved my life.

Even though that item was one-time use, it was well worth it. If luck was on my side, I might be able to get such a good item!

“But can’t you bring other books besides the ones I’ve read?”

There will surely be guests who want to read other books. Although I read various genres, I often read female-oriented web novels, so the list was mostly those kinds of books.

“Like before, if you put your hand on the book cover, you can register novels that other hunters have read too!”

“Phew, that’s really fortunate…”

“And I can also register stories I know as books!”

“Stories you know, Laura?”

Laura put her hand on the book that registers books. Then books with titles I had never seen before appeared.

[Book List

− How Did That Wyvern’s Horn Grow?

− The Hatchling and Kobold’s Journey

− The Light and Shadow of Blue Starlight

− Fairy Tale

− The Spirit King and Children

…]

“This is…”

“The Lamiae sometimes tell interesting stories. Most of these are folktales I heard from them.”

“Then are these stories set in the dungeon…?”

“Yes!”

It seems the Lamiae have myths, legends, and folktales like us. The titles were definitely stories I was encountering for the first time.

They were all translated into Korean so I could read them too. They’re probably mostly made-up stories, but hunters who read them will find them new and interesting.

And seeing this, I had a feeling that one person would really like it.

‘I can repay Hunter Joo Chung Yeon’s kindness a little.’

To be able to read folktales passed down by natives living in the dungeon. Isn’t this the most interesting space for a Dungeon Management Center researcher?

They said they heard the folktales from the Lamiae, and there was quite detailed content about the tribe as well.

‘I should bring him here right away when I return to the campsite.’

Just thinking about how happy he would be made me feel satisfied already.

Next was decorating the outdoor space. When I clicked on the sign at the entrance of the book cafe, a list of related items dropped down.

[Outdoor Book Cafe

− Pergola

− Canopy

− Sun bed

− Swing chair

− Bean bag

− Parasol

− Table & Chair Set (Wood)

− Table & Chair Set (Metal)

− Table & Chair Set (Rattan)

…]

It was prepared with a list suitable for outdoor characteristics. Parasols and pergolas to block the sun seemed like must-buys, and if we put a canopy on top of the pergola and let it hang like a roof, it would look pretty fluttering in the wind.

‘And by swing chair, they must mean a swing-type chair?’

I remember sitting in a round rattan swing chair at a cafe before. It was comfortable and interesting even though it was just swinging.

“We definitely need to buy tables and chairs, and I want to place sun beds, swing chairs, and bean bags too…”

Since it’s the first interior design, I was trying to buy only what was necessary. But everything caught my eye and made me hesitate.

“No, wait. I can just buy everything!”

Suddenly I wondered why I was worrying so much. I’m not a low-level anymore.

While I was backpacking, monsters and Mo Gyeon steadily did business, so coins had accumulated.

Mo Gyeon worked so hard in the vegetable garden that we earned quite a bit of coins from selling crops.

“Right. I can spend this much!”

[‘Yu Bom (D)’ has purchased ‘Pergola’.] [‘Yu Bom (D)’ has purchased ‘Canopy’.] [‘Yu Bom (D)’ has purchased ‘Table & Chair Set (Rattan)’.]

.

.

.

[‘Yu Bom (D)’ has purchased ‘Swing Chair’.]

In the end, I bought most of the items. As the camping business was doing well, it seemed my generosity was growing.

Next was buying effect items from the camping market.

“Let’s see…”

[Book-Reading Earmuffs (B)

− Reads books aloud.] [Fast-Forward Glasses (B)

− Allows speed reading.] [Summary Notebook (C)

− Allows grasping only the plot of books.] [Scenery Lens (B)

− A lens that allows reading text with scenery as background.] [Page-Turning Fountain Pen (C)

− Moving the fountain pen left/right turns book pages.

.

.

.

[Steel Straw (B)

− No teeth marks no matter how much you bite.] [Always Clean Chin Rest (C)

− Prevents spills when eating while wearing it.]

Maybe because books and cafe were combined, there were many more items than previous facilities.

Being able to speed read looks good, and reading with scenery as background looks good too. A summary notebook would be nice when you want to skim through quickly.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away

This is also on my reread list!

This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.

Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.

But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.

Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.

I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.

The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.

As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
