Only Bad for Me (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 3
What a persistent brat.
JS PHARM. Chairman Lee Sung Choon clicked his tongue lowly.
It was inside the elevator heading to the 7th floor, after finishing his late lunch, accompanied by his chief secretary.
“Director Kim, isn’t the Natural Product Fusion R&D Headquarters sharing the same floor as the design team?”
“Yes. They both use the 7th floor.”
“……Hmm.”
His lunch with his niece Wang Na Na was so distracted he couldn’t tell whether it went in through his mouth or his nose.
For a full three hours—she’d stormed into the office without warning since early morning, stubbornly demanding and whining endlessly.
[Exactly! Right!] [Ow! Ow! Go easy, you brute! Is this a massage or what? Are you grabbing an old man? Stop it!]The white-haired Lee Sung Choon groaned, pulling away the forceful hands clinging to his shoulders.
But Wang Na Na ignored him completely, snuggling up to the Chairman’s arm with an added cutesy nasal whine.
[This is the first time I’ve ever asked you for something like this! It’s not even that difficult—why do you keep dodging me?]His sense of smell was practically paralyzed by her heavy perfume. And why was she fluttering that flashy designer dress so much?
[Uncle, please!] [It hurts, you brat—let go and talk properly! Seriously, where’d you get such strength? Did you eat something special in America?]Lee Sung Choon finally shoved Wang Na Na away—she’d been clinging to him like a leech.
[Go sit down and have some tea.]Lee Sung Choon clicked his tongue lightly, watching his niece spread her wide skirt dramatically as she sat, as if showing off.
His head was splitting from worrying about the future of the company he’d built with blood and sweat—but here she was, after half a year’s absence, pestering him with such trivial nonsense.
Self-centered, spoiled rotten, convinced she’s the center of the universe—Wang Na Na, youngest daughter of his sister Lee Sung Ja, the DL Group’s matriarch who’d pampered her like gold and jade, knew nothing but luxury and vanity, a lifetime brat.
Still, he couldn’t really hate her. Maybe because he only had three sons—none with an ounce of style.
[Aigoo, you shameless kid! Do you even realize how critical a moment your uncle’s company is in right now?] [What’s so critical? You’re just planning to sell off control and cash out big, right? I know everything! Tch—if you’re not going to grant my wish, I’ll just leave.]Wang Na Na pouted, staring at her long, vividly painted nails.
[You’re the Chairman—how can you possibly concern yourself with something as petty as firing or keeping one designer? Huh? What will your subordinates think of you?] [Whether subordinates look down on me or not—it won’t flip the hierarchy, will it? They’ll stay subordinates. Besides, you’re selling the company anyway!] [Aigoo, such sharp tongue! It’s not that simple—it’s complicated enough to give me a headache.] [No! That makes no sense! One of the people I absolutely despise just happens to be leeching off Uncle’s company? Eugh! It gives me the creeps! Fix this immediately, okay?] [Forget that—why did you suddenly come back? Are you staying for good, or just visiting?] [Well… probably staying for good…?]She rolled her eyes and bit her lip—an expression clearly saying even she didn’t know her own plans. Lee Sung Choon narrowed his eyes.
[You’re still chasing after that half-faced guy, aren’t you?] [Half-faced guy? There are plenty around me—who exactly are you talking about?] [If you can’t even speak properly… tsk tsk tsk. At twenty-nine, you should be thinking about marriage! It’s time to stop acting childish…] [Ah! That’s exactly why I’m doing this! And it’s not twenty-nine—it’s twenty-eight! How many times do I have to tell you?]Not only did she cut off her elder rudely, but she also shrieked loudly. Lee Sung Choon blinked, staring at his niece.
…Who on earth will take her off my hands?
Just as he was speechless, a knock came at the door. Hearing his directors were waiting, Lee Sung Choon sighed in relief.
[Get up. Let’s go eat lunch. You like eel, right? Let’s go to that place we went to before.] [Uncle! Do I look like a kid to you? Are you trying to brush me off with some fancy meal?] [Fancy meal? Aigoo—are you really talking to your old uncle like that? Come on, get up already!].
.
“…Looks like my sister really raised her daughter the wrong way.”
“Yes?”
“Never mind. Let’s swing by the design team first.”
“Shall we?”
He had no intention of firing or keeping any single employee when he was about to hand over the company anyway. He just wanted to see that person’s face once.
He knew Team Leader Jang Shin Ae highly valued this designer—said they were capable and careful.
Trending
Yoon Eun Jo. He’d even heard that name from his son, who worked in R&D.
Late at night.
Eun Jo jumped out of the taxi and rushed toward the police station’s main entrance.
Just as she feared—it happened again. Wang Na Na was truly bad luck.
At least, that was absolutely true for Yoon Eun Jo.
.
.
Pale-faced, Eun Jo stepped into a place she’d never visited in her life.
But she froze in place after only a few steps, as if she’d suddenly stepped into a drama.
Sure enough, crying people and drunken troublemakers matched typical drama scenes.
But she was the first to spot something horrifying—something someone had vomited up.
“Ugh.”
Just as she covered her mouth from sudden nausea, she spotted Min Ah sitting with her head bowed far away.
“Min Ah! Lee Min Ah!”
She saw a large man jump up from his seat—a scruffy man in a black suit, eyes wide.
“Oh! A lady’s here. Are you family?”
Ignoring him, Eun Jo hurried over to Min Ah.
“It’s okay—I’m here. What happened?”
“Unnie… h-hic…”
Min Ah, eyes swollen from crying, looked like she might vanish into thin air at any moment.
“It’s alright, don’t cry—just tell me what happened…”
“What happened? She hit someone! This tiny little chauffeur! My car a rare, precious model with parts unavailable domestically—he crashed it into a street tree! This girl won’t say a word, just cries! And ahh my neck!”
The man bellowed so loudly the police station shook, then suddenly clutched his neck and groaned.
“…Min Ah?”
Min Ah, staring at Eun Jo’s deathly pale face, let even larger tears fall.
“No, Unnie! Hic… I only brushed against the cart! But the elderly woman won’t wake up… they took her to the hospital just now…”
“Ah! Enough! She’s lived long enough—hand over some cash and be done with it! My car! What about my car…”
Bang! Bang!
Eun Jo turned at the sound of a desk being slammed—a tired-looking detective stood there, sipping instant coffee and kicking a nearby chair with his foot.
“Cho Kwang Joong, stop shouting about your stolen car like you own the place. If you’re in such a hurry to get locked up, stay quiet.”
“I bought it with my own money!” the shady-looking man muttered.
“Who are you—family or guardian?”
“I’m family.”
As family and guardian, Eun Jo tightly gripped her sister’s hand.
Min Ah had laughed brightly earlier, saying it was just a part-time job with surprisingly good pay—telling her not to worry.
Now, whether it was a stolen car or something else, a valuable vehicle was wrecked—and though the man called her “old enough to die,” someone might actually die.
But Eun Jo could only see darkness from worry over her sister.
She was about to become a civil servant… her appointment was just around the corner.
“…….”
“Listen carefully, family member. First, the biggest issue is that someone was rushed to the hospital. Second, both the driver and car owner are blaming each other. Third, there’s no insurance. And that man’s car? It’s stolen. Hear that? Mind-blowing, right? Even I’ve never seen a case this absurd.”
It was a long, flat explanation, completely devoid of emotion or inflection. Eun Jo, though trying hard, only managed to grasp half of it, biting her lip.
“So… what should we do first…”
Whiiing Just as she felt like a bee was buzzing in her ear—the police station erupted.
“Who is it! Which sick bastard hit our mom! Show your face!”
The detective pinched his brow at the men yelling as they stormed in.
He instantly recognized them as trouble—just as bad as the stolen-car owner.
Eun Jo unconsciously stood up—and then witnessed utter chaos she’d never even seen in dreams.
They hurled obscenities so vile she doubted her ears. They threw tantrums, claiming their mother was dying, stomping aggressively.
Their eyes bulged as if ready to devour Min Ah right then and there.
“Ah, damn it! Are you all deaf? Huh? You wanna burst someone’s eardrums?”

Pushing past the stunned sisters, the stolen-car owner suddenly bellowed at the top of his lungs.
Instantly, a brawl broke out—a group of men colliding violently.
Vulgar curses flew. Like beasts waiting for a chance to tear someone’s throat out, they bared teeth and spat.
“Seriously, money’s always the problem. You two—come over here.”
Another detective appeared before the speechless sisters.
Turning his back to the chaos, he guided them far away to another desk.
“Sit there. Miss Lee Min Ah—you mentioned earlier that Cho Kwang Joong, sitting in the passenger seat, groped your leg. We checked the dashcam—the likelihood of sexual harassment is high. So we’ll investigate this aspect separately first…”
“Excuse me, Detective! Please speak with me from now on.”
“…?”
Eun Jo, who’d just sat down to comfort sobbing Min Ah, turned with a dazed expression.
“Hello. I’m Attorney Kim Woong Chan. Ms. Yoon Eun Jo, Ms. Lee Min Ah—you don’t need to say another word. And absolutely no need to cry.”
A neatly dressed man extended his business card.
Eun Jo slowly stood and took it—but felt utterly bewildered. It truly felt like she was wandering through a dream.
“That… no, how? I mean, where… we didn’t call a lawyer.”
“Oh, I’m with Blackstone Partners’ legal team. I believe our Managing Director is also here.”
“What? Where? Who?”
“Blackstone Partners—Managing Director Kwon Jae Ha.”
Wheeeee
The bee in her ear seemed to crawl straight into her brain.
Wheezing, Eun Jo gripped the chair back, trembling as if pierced by poison.
