They’d report every detail of his nightly torments, his misery, and his pathetic state.

And in the process, the decent doctors in the vicinity dwindled.

“What’s the difference between her and those royal physicians?”

She’s just another pawn sent by the royal family, tasked to report every grim and repulsive detail of his existence.

“I don’t know.”

“But it’s different this time. The others, sent by the royal family, either ran away or died. She faced you from the first day and is still here. And not dead yet.”

Lancelot’s cheerful voice tried to lighten the mood.

“Eddie tends to worry unnecessarily. I’ll do what he suggested this morning.”

His half-playful tone finally made Claude open his eyes.

Looking into Claude’s irritated purple eyes, Lancelot smiled brightly.

“Thinking she’s infiltrating for revenge because you killed her sister? Don’t be nice for no reason! She’ll probably run away at the first sign of fear anyway!”

Lancelot was mimicking his brother, the future Duke Lev.

Claude didn’t respond.

He wasn’t wrong.

Whether by suicide or assassination, his former wives ended up dead, being his wives.

“Revenge?”

It felt like he had already suffered that.

Claude smirked bitterly.

That crow-like woman made him relive the same nightmare for days.

The pale-faced crow, clinging to his coat as if it were a lifeline, had said something.

“Please don’t abandon me.”

A splitting headache surged through him at the memory.

Lancelot, seeing Claude’s contorted face, rushed to the console to fetch medication.

Claude, ignoring the offered glass of water, crammed several days’ worth of pills into his mouth and chewed them.

That trivial phrase tormented him nightly with pain and nightmares.

If that was the crow’s revenge from that secluded room, it was more than enough.

Damn nightmare.

Rubbing his throbbing head, Claude forced his eyes shut.
Beyond Lancelot’s babbling, the servants’ voices, carrying a markedly different temperature, tingled in Claude’s ears.

A slightly excited tone.

Voices anticipating a new wind in the mansion.

‘How ridiculous.’

It was all in vain.

Eddie Lev’s excessive worry.

Lancelot Lev’s frivolous chatter.

The servants’ expectations.

Claude, covering his eyes with his arm, laughed bitterly.

What he needed was simply rest.

Rest devoid of any pain or expectations.

A peaceful night, which others take for granted.

A night not allowed to him.

The mansion’s physician, Hille, was quite skilled.

Within a day of her sleep at the mansion, Yooan was able to move without support, and after the second night, only had to treat the various bruises she had sustained.

While regaining strength would take some time, Yooan had already relished a semblance of peace, just from a few nights free of significant pain.

This felt like heaven compared to the winters when she had to skimp on firewood and prepare her own meals with a weary body.

Butler Gustaf reported that Louise’s coffin was temporarily placed in a small chapel beyond the white forest.

He suggested properly burying Louise in a sunny spot, not in the Pelliesse mansion.

Maybe she could continue living in a corner of this mansion, peacefully with kind people…

Since Claude rarely leaves his room or seeks out anyone, they could live as if the other didn’t exist, each in their own space.

On the third day since her arrival, Claude hadn’t shown his face at all, almost as if he didn’t exist.

‘If only I could keep living like this.’

Yooan rolled her eyes around, inhaling the scent of the ointment carefully prepared by Hille.

Apart from Hena, there were only a couple of maids who entered the place.

Even looking outside, there were only a couple of servants besides the butler.

In short, the mansion was severely understaffed considering its size.

‘I should do something.’

Yooan was struck by a flash of memory from her childhood, recalling the firm whisper of her sister Louise, comforting her amidst the shock caused by their uncle’s family’s absurd behavior.

Cold Male Lead Became My Clingy Husband (Female-Dominant)

Feng Bai Su transmigrated into a matriarchal novel, becoming the sister of the female protagonist and the Seventh Princess of the Feng Ling Kingdom.

After working herself to death in her previous life, finally reincarnating as a princess, she only wanted to be a lazy fish who could eat, sleep, and play.

Until she met the male protagonist from the book, Wei Jing Mo, and he took a liking to her!

Wei Jing Mo is the top young man in Feng Ling City, talented in both appearance and ability, from a prestigious family, with a cold and otherworldly appearance, a figure like the bright moon in the hearts of noble ladies. It was thought that only the most powerful and talented noble lady in Feng Ling City would be worthy of such a brilliant young man. Who knew that this young gentleman would secretly admire the infamous Seventh Princess?

Short scene 1:

Feng Bai Su looked at the young man crying like a pear blossom in the rain before her, and couldn’t help but doubt her life.

Wasn’t the male lead described as a cold and otherworldly figure in the book?

Then who was this poor little thing crying with swollen red eyes and tear-stained face?

Short scene 2:

Wei Jing Mo stared intently at Feng Bai Su who was about to go out, wanting to say, “Be careful on the road.”

Before he could speak, Feng Bai Su suddenly bent down and bit his cheek.

Her peach blossom eyes were full of disdain: “Tsk! You’re so clingy!”

Wei Jing Mo: “…”

A talented fox spirit female lead with a flirtatious appearance but actually abstinent VS A cold-looking but actually naive and clingy little jealous male lead
