Young In saw Sung Hyuk off all the way to the front door as he left for the airport.

“Get some sleep on the plane.”

“If only that bastard Yoon Ji Sang hadn’t insisted on coming to pick me up at the house, I could’ve slept another thirty more minutes.”

Sung Hyuk grumbled while opening the shoe cabinet, complaining that it should be the team leader coming to escort the CEO, not the other way around.

Knowing full well how close the two men were, a faint smile spread across Young In’s lips.

“I saw Yoon Team Leader at the company yesterday and his eyes looked completely dead, so don’t be too hard on him. He volunteered to go with you even though he must be exhausted.”

“Who asked him to volunteer? I told him he didn’t have to come, but he wouldn’t listen.”

“I actually feel relieved and happy that you’re going with Yoon Team Leader.”

She felt reassured knowing he had a good friend. It made his departing footsteps seem a little lighter.

“Now you’re making me sound like some kid who needs babysitting.”

“What kind of kid is this huge?”

Young In stretched her arm out fully and gently patted the top of Sung Hyuk’s head as he stood in front of her.

The look in his eyes, which had been full of affection, suddenly clouded with worry.

Sung Hyuk cupped Young In’s cheeks with both hands, his face filled with concern, and met her eyes.

“Honestly, I’m not tired at all, but your eyes are puffy as hell. What on earth have I done to you?”
