The next morning, Head Maid Kosa came to see Meiana.

“Vacation?”

Kosa waved her hand dismissively, as if annoyed.

“Yes, that’s exactly it. Both you and Beinti. Of course, you’ll still need to attend to Lady Ariante in the morning. After that, His Grace said you may take half a day off.”

“Then who will look after Lady Ariante during that time?”

“His Grace will.”

After saying that, Kosa quickly vanished, grumbling about how her work was piling up. Meiana stood there blankly, watching Kosa’s broad figure sway from side to side as she walked away, then turned around, feeling dazed.
