Hye Sung said it as if spitting it out.

“You seem like you’ll live one year longer than me.”

Yeah, it was always like this. No matter how hard she tried to step on Tae In, Tae In stayed calm and struck back. Hye Sung clicked her tongue in annoyance.

“Thanks for the other day.”

Unexpectedly, Tae In offered her thanks. Hye Sung forgot why she’d come here in the first place and stared with wide eyes.

“Since when do you say things like that…?”

Hye Sung was flustered. Wasn’t Tae In the type who never held back? That Tae In would so readily say thank you made her not just surprised, but suspicious.

Hye Sung pressed her lips shut. The leather-like texture and sheen came with a surprisingly light weight. Plus, it was an upcycled product—she liked it even more for that.

But she couldn’t admit it honestly, so she just stared pointedly out the window instead.

Tae In immediately understood what that meant.

“You like it, huh?”

“Not at all!”

“Then why clutch it so tightly? I’m not going to steal it.”
