Tae In restored the USB she’d received from A Rin and then passed back.

It contained the recorded conversation she’d had with Se Ji. Inside was evidence that Se Ji had staged multiple accidents in attempts to kill Tae In.

It was evidence Tae In had wanted revealed to the world through Hee Won if she died.

Of course, this alone wasn’t enough to bring them down.

Tae Gang was deeply entangled in politics, and their connections were close enough to cover up each other’s misdeeds.

Since Se Ji had planted a spy within her own circle, Tae In needed to stay cautious for now.

Upon arriving home, Tae In called Nok Hyeon.

He’d said he had a drink planned with Secretary Shim, and she was curious when he’d be back.

Nok Hyeon answered the phone as if he’d been waiting for her call.

“When are you coming?”

—I’ll come early. Miss me already?

“No, I was just curious.”

Tae In lied, saying something she didn’t really mean.

A soft chuckle came through the receiver.

—Or are you worried about me?
