“Then, shall we wash together?”

It was a gentle and captivating voice. However, Taein didn’t fall for that voice.

To wash together meant revealing everything in an embarrassing state. Although Taein had become closer to Nokhyun, she wasn’t comfortable to that extent. Instead, it was uncomfortable. She always had to be cautious, not knowing how things might change.

With a flushed face, Taein stopped Nokhyun’s hands trying to unbutton her shirt. Nokhyun seemed to have expected that, showing an expression as if nothing happened. Taein’s rejection left a sense of regret.

“You thought well. I can’t resist it either.”

After kissing Taein on the forehead, Nokhyun left the bathroom.

As the tense atmosphere disappeared, Taein could finally relax her body.

Her warmed-up body quickly felt sluggish. Taein, who almost fell asleep, lightly tapped her cheeks with her hands. It seemed she had been tired.

Come to think of it, she realized she had never rested comfortably since living in Seoul.

Maybe Nokhyun didn’t come here to fulfill her own desires but to let Taein rest for a few days.

Suddenly, that thought occurred to her.

After a leisurely shower, Taein put on a bathrobe and went outside. Taein first checked if there were any work-related messages, then took a small box from her bag and looked around.

Nokhyun was lying on the bed. She was wearing a bathrobe, possibly having showered in another bathroom.

Taein touched Nokhyun’s damp hair with her fingertips.

Her peacefully sleeping face was quite beautiful.

Carefully, Taein took a bracelet from the box and placed it on Nokhyun’s arm. Like a watchband, it was something she had made herself. Although mostly made of leather, the stitches were shaped like padlocks.

With a satisfied expression, Taein kissed Nokhyun’s forehead again, just like she had done a while ago.

“Sleep well.”

After saying that, Taein lay down facing Nokhyun.

At that moment, Nokhyun slowly opened her eyes.

Their gazes tangled for a moment.

“You didn’t sleep?”

In a welcoming tone, Nokhyun asked, and Taein nodded lightly.

“How can I sleep first when I’m with you?”

“Why can’t you sleep?”

Taein, feeling guilty for falling asleep before Nokhyun, asked.

“I was nervous.”

Nokhyun answered with a face that showed no sign of tension.

“Lies.”

Anyway, she’s a fox.

“But what’s this?”

Nokhyun looked at her own wrist and asked.

“I made it. As a gift, and also for a proposal…”

Taein said, glancing at Nokhyun.

“A proposal?”

“In fact, I planned to do it the day I brought up the baby talk, but I couldn’t.”

Her father-in-law woke up, and they had to go to the hospital, where Mo-ra collapsed.

After that, she continued to be busy, and she couldn’t do it.

Nokhyun looked at Taein with interest.

“In fact, I had prepared flowers and a cake that day…”

Taein, who was stuttering, belatedly felt embarrassed and covered her reddened face with both hands.

Nokhyun held Taein’s hands and lowered them.

“Why are you so embarrassed?”
“I’m already married, proposing is ridiculous, isn’t it?”

They had a contractual marriage and exchanged hearts. Unlike the proficient and relaxed Nokhyun, Taein, who had never experienced a proper relationship, didn’t know how to proceed to the next step.

One thing was for sure; she wanted to express her feelings properly.

“Don’t be ridiculous, just do it.”

Facing the silently demanding gaze, Taein didn’t know what to do. She should have ordered flowers or something. Proposing while lying down in a bathrobe.

Taein sighed and sat up.

“I’ve never regretted this marriage even once.”

Suppressing the desire to avoid, Taein spoke steadily. Bringing up something she had vaguely thought about made her feelings even more certain for some unknown reason.

Taein looked directly into Nokhyun’s eyes and conveyed her words.

“Stay by my side forever. I’ll be by your side too.”

Listening quietly, Nokhyun smiled and pulled Taein closer.

“I’ll accept it.”

Before the words finished, Nokhyun swallowed Taein’s lips. Feeling the weight pressing on her body, Taein accepted her lips.

Hot and moist breaths mingled together. Unlike the clueless times, there was an unfamiliar tingling anticipation emerging from within her body.

Affection was evident in the occasional touches and the eye contact. Taein, with a flushed face, struggled to breathe with the lips moving eagerly as if trying to taste every inch of her body.

Not knowing where to focus her gaze, Taein closed her eyes tightly.

Nokhyun’s face, narrowing her eyebrows as if unable to stand it any longer, was terribly attractive.

“Come up, Taein.”

When she opened her eyes at Nokhyun’s voice, his eyes, covered with desire, were staring directly at her.

“If you said you’d do everything.”

In a teasing tone, Nokhyun’s words heated up Taein’s neck.

It reminded her of the promise she had made confidently.

Embarrassed and wanting to escape, Taein reluctantly nodded her head since she had to keep the words she had uttered.

Ex-husband Wants Reconciliation

One-line summary: Chasing the wife to the crematorium (making an effort to attract someone who has become indifferent), the female lead doesn’t look back, the second male lead takes the position.

Intro:

To repay the kindness of the older generation, Su Mu crossed into a female-dominated world and became a live-in daughter-in-law of the Yan family, single-handedly saving the Yan family from fire and water.

But her husband, Yan Jiyue, the eldest son of the Yan family, treated her with sarcasm and never showed her a good face.

It wasn’t until after Su Mu’s death that this pampered and arrogant young master shed a few fake tears and pretended to want to die for love.

This life’s kindness was enough. If there was a next life, she would definitely kick Yan Jiyue away.

Who knew that the heavens would be so kind as to allow her to be reborn, returning to the time when she had just married into the Yan family.

Su Mu glanced at the Yan eldest son, who still spoke coldly to her, and threw a divorce letter in front of him.

“Let’s divorce!”

***

Yan Jiyue never imagined that he would be reborn. He happily went to find Su Mu, wanting to make up for the mistakes he had made in his ignorant youth.

Wasn’t the reason the heavens allowed him to be reborn to let him reconcile with Su Mu?

But when he pushed open the door to Su Mu’s room, the person lying on the bed was another man.

Su Mu’s personal attendant, Xie Yi.

Yan Jiyue hated him so much that his teeth itched. In front of Su Mu, Xie Yi was a gentle and considerate whisperer of sweet nothings, but in reality, he was vicious-hearted and deliberately sabotaged their husband and wife relationship.

In the previous life, it was he who secretly hid in Su Mu’s coffin and committed suicide, stealing a step ahead of him to be buried with Su Mu.

Yan Jiyue’s eyes were filled with hatred as he cursed, “What kind of thing are you? Your background is lowly, what right do you have to occupy Su Mu?”

Xie Yi looked at the sleeping Su Mu and no longer pretended to be a whisperer of sweet nothings.

He proudly stuck out his belly, “I have the right because my belly is capable of giving the Wife-master a daughter.”

***

Yan Jiyue was consumed with jealousy. He spread rumors that Xie Yi had once been branded with the mark of a “harlot” on his chest.

But on the night Xie Yi cut off the flesh bearing that mark, Su Mu suddenly realized something was amiss.

“How did you know the exact moment I was poisoned? And why did you show up a month early?”

Xie Yi remained silent, blood from his wound soaking through his robes. His sapphire eyes brimmed with anguish – or was it just a flawless act?

Between a once-arrogant husband now seeking redemption, and a gentle soul willing to die for her – who truly held the darkest secrets? And could it be that Su Mu and Yan Jiyue weren’t the only ones given a second chance at life…?
