The week of final exams passed slowly.
Whether it was due to the tightly packed exam papers and tedious studying, or perhaps because Yoo In postponed meeting Gyeon under the pretext of exam preparation, it was a dull week.
Yoo In, who had just finished the last major exam, couldn’t hide the excitement that had been building up since entering the exam room.
Finally, it was the day to meet Gyeon, the day he had been waiting for.
[The usual spot. Come out slowly.]The simple text contained his concern, representing his true feelings. Though he might seem indifferent at first glance, his sincerity was never cold.
Yoo In, with a naturally melting smile, lightly stepped toward the closest parking lot at the College of Humanities, where Gyeon always parked.
“Isa…!”
Finally, as his eyes found the familiar subject, his lips, which were about to call him with a deep red color, hesitated for a moment.
It was indeed the person he had wanted to see, but the unfamiliar attire and atmosphere made Yoo In pause.
It wasn’t the always neatly dressed suit but Gyeon wearing a casually rolled-up white shirt and black slacks, appearing much younger than my age.

In accordance, the black leather watch wrapped around his wrist and the black horn-rimmed glasses covering his cold, extended eyelids gave him a sophisticated and easygoing impression.
Standing beneath the tree adorned with vivid green leaves, Gyeon leaned against the white car, focusing on his phone. Sensing Yoo In’s presence, he raised his cool gaze from behind the black glasses.
As soon as he spotted Yoo In, the corners of his eyes bent like the warm sunlight.
“What are you doing there? If you came, let’s talk.”
“……Ah.”
His black hair, casually falling down, lightly swayed with the breeze carrying a faint moisture.
Although it wasn’t the first time seeing Gyeon dressed in something other than a suit, today, for some reason, he felt so unfamiliar and strange that his heart pounded too forcefully, causing a bit of pain.
Gyeon, who noticed Yoo In’s peculiar expression as he approached, cautiously wrapped his blushing cheeks and asked, “What’s wrong? Is something bothering you?”
“No.”
“It’s not a face that says ‘nothing.’ Is it because of the exams?”

Seeing Gyeon’s forehead slightly wrinkled as he asked, Yoo In, without saying a word, reached out and gently smoothed it with his hand.
The man, surprised and slightly flinching, opened his eyes as if confused, but he quietly let it happen.
Soon, as the pale hand that had recoiled dangled in the air, Gyeon gently caught it before it moved away. This time, Yoo In’s large pupils reflected confusion.
“……. ”
Gyeon met his intense gaze, softly pressed his lips against the slightly moist palm, and made a soft sound.
Ah, Yoo In, who made a small sound, softly caressed the hand that had touched the smooth skin. The contact was both ticklish and thrilling at the same time.
Gyeon playfully traced the trembling wrist of the nervous Yoo In, smiling with satisfaction.
“Is this Nam Yoo In’s signature aegyo?”
“What? No, it’s not like that.”
“Not like that? Then what is it?”
The man, smiling with a deep dimple while showing the secluded well with a smile, enjoyed Yoo In’s reactions.

It felt too embarrassing to express the heartfelt impulse impulsively, and giving some awkward excuses seemed to only provoke his mischief.
In the end, Yoo In provided an answer that omitted many things.
“Don’t give me that look.”
“Is that all?”
“Yes.”
“Hmm.”
Gyeon, not entirely satisfied, laughed with a tone that conveyed letting it pass.
And as he eagerly opened the passenger seat, he only now realized that the car he had been anticipating wasn’t the black sedan he used to favor.
The charming man with a narrowed field of view unexpectedly, in a ridiculous way, accepted Yoo In into his car, which wasn’t the black sedan he used to favor.
“The car… changed.”

“Yeah. The one I used to drive went in for maintenance.”
The man starting the engine looked very familiar, but the interior of the car, which seemed brand new even if it had just been delivered, with no signs of wear on the leather seats and not a speck of dust, made it seem as if it were new.
He didn’t seem to boast or act arrogantly in front of Yoo In, and sometimes, Yoo In forgot that he was an executive at a well-known large planning company.
No way, he wouldn’t have bought a new car just for maintenance.
“It’s incredibly clean. Feels like a new car.”
“I’ve only used it a few times.”
“Other than this, do you have another car?”
“I do, but I rarely use it.”
“…Ah, I see.”
“Why? Do you need Nam Yoo In’s car?”

The flow of the conversation felt strange. Why was everyone asking if he needed a car when they looked at him? Yoo In smirked slightly at his lips.
Anyway, Jin understood. Gyeon has many cars but doesn’t use them much. It was both a testament to Gyeon’s abilities and a lifestyle.
Whether he earns a lot and does whatever he wants with that money doesn’t concern me. I wonder what reason comes to mind when I see someone who bought a car for stress relief.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
