Geum Mo Ran, who rarely ever raised her voice above the walls, suddenly screamed. The situation was urgent enough that she had no room to maintain her usual elegant pretense.

“Madam, I’m truly sorry. But there was simply no other way.”

“So that’s why I gave you all that money—to do the underground work before things turned out like this!”

The Head of Legal Affairs could only repeat that he was sorry.

Now that Chairman Na had been summoned, they couldn’t recklessly harm Prosecutor Jin Ra In either. If the timing went wrong, Chairman Na himself could end up in trouble.
