Taesung’s Legal Affairs Office kept delaying the confrontation interview between Director Na Song Un and Director Na Song Gang with various excuses. Song Gang had no reason to avoid this confrontation, yet he couldn’t help but feel uneasy about it.

Logically, he wouldn’t lose—but even if he won against his younger sibling, would there really be anything to gain?

The Legal Affairs Office had anticipated that the prosecution would summon Song Gang separately. Contrary to their expectation, however, an entirely unexpected person became the subject of the summons.

Prosecutor Jin Ra In had directly named Chairman Na. They’d been bracing themselves for a chain of summonses—even considering Geum Mo Ran’s possible summons—but no one had ever imagined Chairman Na himself would be called in.

Because of this, chaos erupted throughout Taesung, from the Chairman’s office all the way to the Legal Affairs Office. Chairman Na immediately summoned both Song Gang and the Head of Legal Affairs to his office.

“How dare a mere ordinary prosecutor order me around like some errand boy!”

Song Gang was just as stunned. He knew well that Prosecutor Jin Ra In wasn’t the type to care much about such formalities—but he never expected she’d actually summon Chairman Na.

If they refused this summons, they’d have to prepare for possible arrest or even detention.

“Hmm! Handle this yourself—within your capacity as Head of Legal Affairs.”

“Yes, understood, Chairman.”

Chairman Na dismissed the summons lightly, as though he had no obligation to comply, and the Head of Legal Affairs confidently replied that he understood.

“Chairman, please attend the summons.”

Song Gang spoke cautiously. This was also advice offered for his father’s own sake.

“What?”

“Director, Chairman—you have your dignity to uphold! How can some ordinary prosecutor dare summon our Chairman?”
