“Wasn’t it you who asked me to teach you?”

Song Kang took another step forward, and Ra In stepped back once more. Before they knew it, they stood facing each other across the threshold of the front door.

“What should I do?”

Ra In’s eyes darted about restlessly, as if she’d lost her way. If he took just one more step toward her, Ra In would have to choose: either let go of the door she was holding or push him away.

“If you don’t want it, push me outside. Or let go of that hand.”

In that brief moment, tens of thousands of thoughts swept through Ra In’s mind. And among them, one particular thought rose to the surface and tapped gently at her heart.

Maybe he was someone sent by her parents—whom she’d never even seen before.

Her rational judgment had completely shut down; only emotions and instinct were guiding her. Even though she sensed danger, she couldn’t resist the temptation. As if entranced, Ra In slowly let go of the door.

Song Kang crossed the threshold and took one more step toward Ra In, wrapping his arms firmly around her waist. Ra In’s eyes widened to twice their usual size as she stared up at him.

When his gaze drifted to her lips, which now glowed a flushed red, Ra In quickly covered them with both hands.

“Move your hands. Only then will I teach you.”

Song Kang was deliberately controlling his pace so as not to startle her. It was a difficult effort, forcing down his rising urges into those few words. But how long could this consideration truly last…?

Song Kang gently lifted one hand and slowly lowered hers from her lips. Following his touch, Ra In let her hands fall away. He placed his hand against her cheek, bent his upper body down to match her height, and pressed his lips to hers.

“Mm…!”

Surprised by the warm, soft sensation, Ra In let out an involuntary sound, and Song Kang’s lips instinctively curved into a smile.
