Yoon stopped by the Hannam-dong apartment with Cheol Young and Seok Jun to pick up the books they needed. But the house, which she hadn’t visited in a long time, felt completely different from its former stark emptiness.

Yoon remembered the first time she’d set foot in this place. Back then, she’d felt utterly lost about how she’d manage to live here with Kang Hyun for the next three years.

Watching Seok Jun happily bounding up the stairs, Yoon called out to be careful. Still, Seok Jun paid no mind and dashed straight to the top in one go.

Yoon slowly climbed the stairs herself. As she did, she recalled how, after their honeymoon, when they’d come to Hannam-dong to pay their respects, Kang Hyun had worn a hanbok and, worried he might tumble down the stairs, had held her hand the whole way.

“The CEO said he’d move Madam’s desk to where you’re staying now.”

“Oh.”

Kang Hyun really seemed to see right into her mind.

Yoon, who was usually a bit slow to pick up on other people’s feelings or thoughts, found Kang Hyun’s perceptiveness truly astonishing.

“It’s all because of affection—because I care. Try caring about me a bit too, and you’ll see it clearly.”

That was something he’d once told her.

“I do care about you a lot, Kang Hyun, but I still didn’t notice.”
