The VIP suite at D Hotel was known for its tight security, making it a popular location for chaebol family meetups.
The venue was also quite spacious, commonly used by celebrities for private weddings. Hence, it was selected as the venue for Kang Hyun and Yoon’s wedding.
Their wedding announcement was postponed until late October, after Kang Hyun’s drama was released on the OTT platform, hence the wedding took place strictly privately.
Due to recent controversies surrounding extravagant weddings involving chaebols and politicians, both families were rather welcoming of the idea of a private ceremony.
So, a quiet wedding attended by immediate family members only was held. However, none of Yoon’s real family were there.
‘Grandfather and Grandmother couldn’t come.’
Yoon felt upset, imagining how disappointed Ok Soon and Ho Shik, who were unaware of the contractual nature of the wedding, would be.
The image of the two waving at her from the doorstep kept resurfacing, making her feel like she was about to cry.
At that moment, Ji Man approached Yoon for the bride’s entrance and spoke gently.
“You look very pretty today.”

It was a dress that Seo Jung had picked, ignoring the advice of the expert.
The dress was adorned with heavy lace, giving it a plump and somewhat oldfashioned appearance, but it seemed pretty to Ji Man’s eyes.
Although everyone else shook their heads in disapproval of the dress, Yoon had worn it without a word, not wanting to quarrel with Seo Jung.
“We should link arms now.”
Ji Man skillfully flashed a gentle smile at Yoon. In contrast, Yoon’s complexion drastically darkened.
Yoon, feeling strangely distant from Ji Man, linked her arm through his and entered the virgin road. When she looked up, she saw Kang Hyun gazing at her indifferently.
She wanted to be by Kang Hyun’s side, even though it wasn’t comfortable either, but she was currently walking arm in arm with Ji Man.
When Ji Man approached Kang Hyun, he patted Yoon’s hand like a caring father, giving her advice to live well.
Yoon truly felt chills throughout her body. So, she quickly pulled her arm out and grabbed Kang Hyun’s.
“It hurts.”

Kang Hyun looked down at her, frowning. She realized she had held his arm too tightly.
“I’m sorry.”
Yoon carefully linked her arm through his again and climbed onto the platform. However, she accidentally stepped on the hem of her voluminous dress and almost stumbled forward.
At that moment, he quickly wrapped his arm around her waist to steady her. Thanks to him, the bride was spared from an embarrassing fall during the wedding.
“Are you feeling dizzy again?”
Kang Hyun asked, examining her complexion.
“No.”
“But did you choose this dress? Your taste is quite something. Plus, it’s too big. No wonder you’re stepping on it.”
Even to Kang Hyun, who had zero fashion sense, the dress appeared noticeably outdated.
“Are you tired?”

Yoon’s complexion looked as pale as during the engagement ceremony, prompting Kang Hyun’s question.
“A little.”
She hadn’t slept well since the night before and had been nagged endlessly by Seo Jung and her daughters since early morning.
Thankfully, at least Yu Jin did not attend the wedding. Yoon, who had been tense at the thought of facing Yu Jin again, was somewhat relieved.
“It’ll be over soon, so hang in there a bit longer.”
Kang Hyun whispered into her tired ear.
“Yes.”
While the ceremony was ongoing, Kang Hyun would occasionally steal glances at Yoon’s complexion.
‘Is she frail?’
Yoon seemed to be struggling a lot, as she had during the engagement ceremony.

True to Kang Hyun’s words, the wedding ended swiftly. Due to Kang Hyun’s tight schedule, many of the other traditional procedures, like Pyebaek, were easily omitted.
Although Yoon felt sorry about it, she was grateful that he was busy. As soon as the wedding ended, the two immediately headed to the airport.
“Madam, I will escort you.”
Since Kang Hyun was moving with the drama team, Cheol Young was assigned to accompany Yoon. As only Moo Jin, Cheol Young, and Kyung Hwa knew about the couple’s marriage, they needed to move as quietly as possible.
‘I don’t really need to go.’
While doing all of this, Yoon questioned the necessity of the honeymoon and wanted to back out.
However, when Kang Hyun said that he had to proceed with both the shooting and the honeymoon simultaneously, Seo Jung, who hadn’t shown much interest in Yoon’s marriage, rolled up her sleeves and began to push forcefully.
The view from the suite room in a highclass resort located on Seminyak Beach in Bali boasted an atmosphere befitting the title of Bali’s finest resort.
However, it felt too modern, not really giving off a vacation vibe. At least the palm trees scattered throughout the resort confirmed it was indeed Bali.
An infinity private pool stretched out on the guest room balcony, providing a mysterious beauty as if the blue sea and sky were connected.

Yoon stood on the balcony looking down. There were many people gathered in front of the hotel’s swimming pool.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
