“What’s this again?”
Jiman, who was reading the article, was surprised. The content revealed that Yujin caused a hit-and-run accident two years ago without a license and falsely accused the driver, Park Cheonsu.
“This woman!”
Jiman slammed the desk. Indeed, there were things he didn’t know. It was suspicious that Park Cheonsu suddenly filed a complaint, claiming he had been bullied.
If you make a mistake, you should rectify it properly. He, preoccupied with various issues lately, hadn’t properly investigated, and now things had escalated like this.
“Is Kim Jaemin, the reporter from Sookyung Daily, the one who wrote the last article about Park Cheonsu’s bullying suspicion?”
“Yes.”
Jiman’s aide replied.
“Who’s above this guy? Just leaving him to release articles like this as he pleases. No, first, find out who’s behind him.”
“Yes.”

Though he had experienced all kinds of ups and downs in politics for decades, Jiman felt uneasy this time.
‘Something’s strange.’
He felt that things were progressing smoothly, following someone’s plan.
The bribery allegations against him were not settling down but instead were being gradually reproduced, mainly in internet cafes. Meanwhile, articles about his family were coming out one by one.
‘Park Cheonsu.’
Although he claimed to have filed a complaint, Jiman didn’t pay much attention. Those kinds of people had usually left on their own, as no matter how much they shouted, it was like beating an egg against a rock.
But with a collaborator, the story changed.
‘Who is behind him?’
He felt a bit precarious lately, but he still wondered who was daring to point a knife at him. With so many enemies, it was immeasurable.
However, even a small spark needed to be extinguished early. Jiman rose abruptly and headed home. First, he needed to confirm with Seojeong about Yujin’s traffic accident case.

Entering his house, however, no one from the family, apart from the employees, came out to greet him.
‘Everything seems suspicious.’
Jiman opened the door. Then, Seojeong, who was in the middle of a call, was surprised, quickly hung up, and answered him.
“What are you doing? Your husband came home, and you don’t even come out to greet me?”
“He came? What’s the big deal? Isn’t it embarrassing for people who work?”
Jiman yelled sharply.
“Why the argument again?”
Seojeong also raised her voice.
“Ugh, how suspicious you are these days. Don’t you even receive messages in the middle of the night? What kind of accident happened this time?”
Jiman’s sharp gaze flickered.

“What accident?”
Jiman snatched Seojeong’s phone.
“Why are you like this? Give it back.”
But Seojeong overreacted.
“You’re crazy. How…?”
Jiman, shaken by the shock, staggered.
“Ugh, so why did he do that?”
Haven been exhausted by Byunggyu’s threats, Seojeong had no choice but to confess everything to Jiman.
“What?”
Jiman swayed in shock.

“Are you crazy? How…?”
Seojeong sighed deeply as Jiman, still shocked, struggled to comprehend the massive accident she had caused.
“He demanded 5 billion.”
“Huh.”
Jiman staggered.
“So, why on earth did you do such a thing?”
Last year, a woman claiming to be his daughter had appeared. Occasionally, they had resolved such matters within reasonable limits.
At that time, the political situation was complicated, and it was a sensitive period, so the appropriate thing to do was to give a few coins and settle the matter. However, Seojeong escalated the situation like this.
“How much of a miserable fool is that X, and you know it too.”
Seojeong spat out the words with a sob.
‘I would be disgusted to live with a wife like an old lady even if I were a legislator. Don’t you take care of your skin? Do it a bit. Why do you live like that even with so much money? Even if you say you’re a legislator’s mother, I believe it. That’s why the legislator only moves around outside.’

In reality, Seojeong was two years younger than Jiman, but due to her poor eyesight, she even looked ten years older than him, causing her appearance complex.
Park Eunjeong seizing Seojeong’s shortcomings and threatening her was the main reason, but touching Seojeong’s sore spot was also one of the reasons she lost her composure.
“Ugh.”
“This is all because of you. Those who came claiming to be your children over the years, where are they now? You’re truly remarkable.”
“Shut up!”
Jiman shouted.
“Why shut up? If you have a mouth, say something. It’s irritating. Really. Living with someone as lecherous as you is no longer funny.”
Seojeong, engulfed in anger, trembled all over. Shortly after their marriage, Jiman had been unfaithful countless times.
Of course, it didn’t matter. Their marriage wasn’t based on love, and Seojeong herself had lived enjoying her life. However, the issue was Jiman’s extramarital affairs, which recurred from time to time. Among them, Park Eunjeong was the worst.
“Now, what should we do?”

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
