“Why didn’t he talk about such an important matter?” Sunhwa, who is Yeonghun’s mother, questioned with a troubled expression.
“Is it really true that the child is Seojiman Uiwon’s daughter?” Yeonghun’s father, Gukman, asked. As a city council member himself, he was initially too shocked to speak when he heard that Seojiman Uiwon, a key figure in the party known as the substantive powerhouse, was Yun’s father.
“Why did that kid live with such suspicions?” Sunhwa asked, looking at Yeonghun, who was picking at his food.
“I don’t know,” Yeonghun gulped down water as if he couldn’t digest.
“Really, if they had told us earlier, why would we have opposed it? Ugh.”
“Did you tell them to break up?” Gukman raised his voice, slamming the spoon down.
“You also said it couldn’t happen with her,” Gukman fell silent at Sunhwa’s words.
‘Ugh, I could have become related to Congressman Seo. What a waste. What a waste.’
Gukman seemed to be regretting kicking away the opportunity like kicking a pebble that had rolled in.
“When did Cha Kanghyun, the actor or something, get married? Did you break up and then marry him?”

“No. I suggested breaking up first. It was a few months after breaking up and before getting married.”
Yeonghun mumbled in response to Gukman’s question.
“What? You broke up? Ugh, you idiot, why did you do that?”
Gukman exclaimed.
“Father also said that the two of us had a class difference and told us to break up.”
Yeonghun replied indifferently, and Gukman’s mouth shut.
‘Cha Kanghyun was the husband.’
When Kanghyun suddenly appeared at the hospital and said he was Seoyoon’s husband, Yeonghun couldn’t understand the situation right away.
When did Yun get married, and moreover, her husband was Cha Kanghyun, so he couldn’t wrap his head around it for a while.
‘Even the car Kanghyun rides, it was really him riding in that car.’

Moreover, Yun was Congressman Seojiman’s daughter. Yeonghun couldn’t understand what all this meant.
When Yun was in college, she always worked part-time. So, if someone said she was a congressman’s daughter, it would be hard for anyone to believe.
“If I knew this would happen, Yun should have been with him. It’s incomparable to Shinjuha. It’s a shame, it’s regrettable.”
Sunhwa sighed deeply.
“Mom.”
Yeonghun quietly called Sunhwa.
“It’s impossible anyway.”
“Why? What is it?”
“They would have opposed us in that house. Because of the class difference.”
“What? How much of a class difference is there? What’s wrong with us?”

Sunhwa protested, but whether she agreed with Yeonghun’s words or not, she too fell silent.
Yeonghun suddenly remembered that Sunhwa had come to the school a while ago.
She openly scorned Yun, saying she was a child from a poor family and now regrets it because she’s a congressman’s daughter. It was ridiculous. Even he felt sorry for Yun, who must have been so embarrassed.
‘No, it’s really pathetic.’
On the topic of jewelry, he didn’t recognize it and discarded it. He rejected the person who grew up in Yun’s environment, thinking they couldn’t meet.
‘Haha. I’m really a fool.’
Yun went to a place that couldn’t be compared to his world. The environments of Yeonghun and Yun had really changed.
Today, Oksun and Hosik finally moved to a countryside house near the sea.
“Grandma! Throw away stuff like this.”
The cleaning company employee shook a dish and a utensil set, making a noise.

“No, you can’t.”
“When you move, you have to throw away the trash. They told me to throw it all away.”
The young woman reluctantly threw the dishes into the trash bag.
“It’s trash? These were used by our granddaughter when she was young. I can’t throw them away.”
Oksun confidently took the dishes and utensil set out of the trash bag.
“Dragging all these sentimental things with you, and then going there to live sentimentally again. Why bother taking things our granddaughter used when she was young? Anyway, old folks are like this. Clinging to and living with such trash, what’s so remarkable about it? They don’t know how to throw things away.”
The young woman mumbled, chewing gum.
“Do as Grandma says.”
At that moment, a tall man entered the house.
“Cha… Cha Kanghyun?”
The woman was so surprised that she swallowed the gum she was chewing.

“Cha husband.”
Oksun greeted Kanghyun warmly.
“Why did you come when you’re busy?”
Kanghyun smiled brightly at Oksun’s welcoming, and the young woman, who watched, was left with her mouth hanging open.
“I came to see you when you’re moving, of course.”
“Thanks.”
A smile blossomed on Oksun’s face.
“But, are those dishes from when Yun was young?”
“Yes, she used them since she was a baby. She used them for several years even after starting elementary school, so they’ve been used for quite a while. That’s why I can’t throw them away.”
Oksun said, caressing the dishes.

“If they were used by Yun when she was young, they must be very valuable. So, it’s not something to throw away.”
Kanghyun looked at the young woman and said.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
