Hae Yeon and Do Ha were sitting side by side, leaning against the headboard of the bed.

Do Ha’s late arrivals meant that lately, this was the only time they could be together like this—but even so, they were happy.

The soft glow of the lamp on the nightstand had been specially ordered by Do Ha for Hae Yeon’s peace of mind, and its gentle light flowing through the room calmed the soul.

At this hour, life flowed with neither lack nor excess—warm, tranquil, and seamless.

Hae Yeon looked at Do Ha’s face and recounted her conversation with Ms. Choi.

“What do you think, Mr. Do Ha?”
